  1. Removed and installed Izotope again. So far so good.
  2. It only happens on one system and it's the newer one.
  3. Ah...the sub paranoia. MS has been doing subs for a long time.
  4. Could people stop trying to compare the software industry to real life scenarios? People do that all of the time with video games. No an assassin or solder wouldn't do that in reality. Comparing software to toasters, vehicles, pets, but it makes great DAW drama. Meanwhile I'm waiting for the paranoia to happen again at Image Line for the users to fear no more free upgrades.
  5. I installed v9 and it did the same thing except I had to constantly restart and the manager block them. After about 72 restarts it's running. v10 does this circle jerk of and I can't get past Insight 2. Komplete Control has issues with Izotope as well.
  6. For me it's Mixcrap since the plugin scanner rejects everything Izotope vst3 and shuts down.
  7. Still using my l7 4790 with an AsRock board. I regret not buying the K version. It has PCI slots and my old AP2496 is running in that.
  8. What is pretty old? It seems hardware companies go through stages of crap products. Gigabyte, Seagate , went through this. I guess if I make another system I'll use AsRock boards.
  9. That depends on your level of hoarding and disk space.
  10. Nope. People buy them because they just work well without little issues. I wouldn't want to be a slave to a hardware company like Apple. We are not the average consumer that Apple attracts. In every system I have I can upgrade as much as I want. Windows is designed to be backwards compatible with most hardware. I'm ware of the pos and cons but I wouldn't want to be an Apple fanboy. Their biggest mistake was those cheese grater Macs. Those things were so upgrade-able I was seriously thinking about buying one. So they change their OS to null those out. If I were to ever spend decent money on a laptop it would overwhelmingly be a Mac.
  11. When I upgraded to Ggiastudio 4, a month later Tascam decided to drop it. I called them Thescam. Garritan bought the code and went nowhere. When Sony became Magix to me it's annual vaporware.
  12. My closet use to have old socket A boards with Athlon XP processors, A P4, PhenomII systems, and if I piece back my Q6600 system they'd all run fine. People would buy those budget laptops, HSN PCs, all loaded with crapware. along with the cheapest components possible. I've gotten my moneys worth from building my own systems. I'm not a laptop person but I would tell people go with Macs if they are serious about a laptop.
  13. I'd fear after paying it off, Apple will turn it into a doorstop. I'd hate to be Apple brainwashed.
  14. They are proprietary and can only be used with their plugin, not to mention their sampled REs have to exist on the OS drive. There are far too many alternatives to Reason instruments. Their overall popularity has diminished since Reason 10. Everyone trying the Adobe model but many have moved on to alternatives. I like what Image Line and Reaper do - imrprove their DAWs. With so much 3rd party instrument addons I'm no longer enticed by those that come with DAWs. At the same time many effects in a DAW are underrated.
  15. They use to do that to get you to buy Sonar upgrades.
  16. These are not for the hobbyist unless you want to brag to your DAW buddies on forums.
  17. Well I like to collect DAWs. If it's Mixcraft or Reaper pricing - sold. Of course there is licensing that is the big one for me. I don't buy 2 machine limit software. Let's keep the sub pandemic going.
  18. Didn't those come with Humble Bundle recently? I think I'd rather slow $39 on a DAW I might not use when I almost pay that a month on some more plugins or sample libraries I will forget about.
  19. Staff view sucks, bundled instruments suck. Not sure it's worth it if the staff view is the same. Bundled instruments suck in most DAWs anyway. Be like Reaper, just the DAW please.
  20. I'm one of those fools who install everything because I paid for it.
  21. I don't need another synth, eq, compressor, reverb, delay..........
  22. Sometimes I debate on these deals knowing TS Max is a good deal but how much of that do you really need. I even started to evaluate this after upgrading Komplete.
  23. Speaking of ignorance and not taking time to read these will be paid for apps. Still as for pricing there are too many fish in the sea.
  24. I'm gonna take a stab here and think not much will change. It could be Bandlab now has the rights to call it Sonar. Something that was free turns into something paid for isn't going to be accepted. How many of us know how big Bandlab really is? We are just a small part of it. I guess their phone app is big overseas and it's free. But I'm pretty ignorant about the whole organization. Maybe they will do what Reason and Tracktion does and rely on selling sound content.
