  1. Don't forget the hundreds of free prestes at both KVR and Rekkerd. I have all the original DX/TX etc prestes in FM8 and it is easy to import/convert. https://rekkerd.org/patches/plug-in/fm7-fm8/ https://www.kvraudio.com/banks.php?s=list&products[]=fm8-by-native-instruments&order=date
  2. I've just updated my BBCSO Discover from 1.5.0 to 1.7.0 (thru the Spitfire portal). Cakewalk says it failed to load (80004002) and is visible in the vst scanner both VST3/2 and says the Vst 3 may not be loaded correctly. It loads fine in Studio One Artist and in Komplete Kontrol. Never had an issue with this before, So a bit stuck what to do as I use it a fair bit. Anyone else have an issue?
  3. Same for me. Had to revert back to 16.07
  4. Well that was weird. I d/loaded from 16.07 to 16.08. Ran the installer (VST3) it placed the folders into the Program Files/Common files /VST3 and every folder was empty. Tried a second time with same result. Reinstalled 16.07 and all was back. No idea why.
  5. Yep. Works, and easy download (though a bit slow)
  6. Picked it up this morning and instantly started writing once I dragged my own samples in. The three modes are useful (dragging the start bar is a bit sticky). But good potential.
  7. Stefano has put up more free presets for Elements - Action Kit. You'll need the full version of Kontakt of course. D/load link is on the YT promo for it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DK3Q9oLOfjs
  8. Welcome to the KVR Developer Challenge 2023, the ninth free-for-all audio plugin / audio application / soundware design event. The "KVR Developer Challenge" is for anyone who develops Audio Plugins or Applications and Soundware. The challenge is to create and release a brand new free audio plugin, application or sound library / pack / set that will benefit the community at large. Creativity is key, it can be as simple or as complex as you want - KVR members will vote on the entries and pick the eventual winner using whatever criteria they choose to. This year there are 23 entries across Windows ,Mac, Linux etc https://www.kvraudio.com/kvr-developer-challenge/2023/
  9. I have the same Presonus Studio 26c. Running on W10. And never had a problem (I have disabled Realtek). I run Defender only (you don't need McAfeer!). As suggested. I would get rid of it and clean up your PC (Revo uninstaller free is good for this but you still will need to look for files left around with McAfee)
  10. Darkskyaudio have added a 5th set of free presets to the already available 4 others for Xperiments (Kontakt full 6+) . Kinetic Pulses joins - Atomic Arps, Atmospheres 1 & 2, Alien Air. https://www.darkskyaudio.com/presetpacks/ Experiments is available here https://www.darkskyaudio.com/ Recommended.
  11. Thanks for this. I have been able to upgrade my CA2A and Rapture to 64bit
  12. I've found I have got a lot more out of it than expected. And the extra samples (500 vs 120) and the fact there are free packs for the full version as well has its appeal. I agree about upgrading to what I really want/need. It's why I have backed out of upgrading from NI Komplete Ultimate 13 to 14. I don't see enough to warrant it. Maybe next time.
  13. Like many I got Lunacy Audio Cube Mini as a freebie (and later andexpansion as well). And I like it. I've had an email from PB with an exclusive upgrade offer to Cube full at 66% off .So it come out at £48 ($60). That looks ok to me considering the full retail is £157 ($179). Anyone else get this offer?
  14. I'm stuck a bit here. If the new Sonar has new quality instruments and effects. And is a reasonable price. Then I would give it a serious look. (but not if subscription). I also got Studio One Artist 5 when I bought a new audio interface which I have installed but never use (or understand). If Cakewalk by Bandland is dropped in favour of the new Sonar. but still functions. If truth be told. I think it's at a level that I would not need to switch at all. But continue to use.
  15. https://www.native-instruments.com/en/specials/komplete/irish-harp/ For K7 😒
  16. Can recommend the Toneboosters https://www.toneboosters.com/downloads/TB_Installer_v1.6.0_legacy_win.zip I use all of them in particular the Limiter.Which I find very clean and transparent. And Unlimited is also good.
  17. As stated by PavlovsCat. I've been using them since they were known as Kontakt Hub. I have many purchases from them (primarily Kontakt). And in fact they are my first port of call when looking at small one man developers. And some real bargains are to be found (I think Ben Osterhouse was first posted there for example). They are the sort of place that when you are fed up and short of money. You can spend your way to happiness!. Recommended.
  18. The free Kontakt instrument Xperiments has 4 free preset packs available for download https://www.darkskyaudio.com/presetpacks/ from darkskyaudio. They work on both the free and XL versions. Xperiments is an excellent free K6 instrument, worth checking out. https://www.darkskyaudio.com/
  19. Thanks jack.c. Appreciated. And now darkskyaudio have contacted me and will be using the track on their website. Blimey ! That's them and Venus Theory who are using my tracks in the last month. Happy days.
  20. Thanks BB. Yeah the bass is a combination of Xperiments and Cube mini. And I had the "frippertronics" buzzing away, twiddled with both until it just fellt right and "liquid" enough. Funnily enough you are not the first to mention TD to me though I have none of their records. But very aware of them.
  21. This is a track that was too late for my release on Camembert Electrique end of last year. I used the Kontakt freebie Xperiments by darkskyaudio https://www.darkskyaudio.com/ (it's a great freebie by the way) a lot. Plus some homemade "Frippertronics" in Reaktor.
  22. Plus with code VST10OFF you can get another 10% off . VSTBuzz is 10 years old.
