Deleting aud.ini did not work. Shut down and deleting ttsseq.ini did not work. Fiddled with default screenset. After some tries i think i got it to work by locking it and immediately make a save. Now it seems i can have my browser/plugins/instruments as default. That is what i use 99 times out of 100.

As this is about personal taste and feelings i'm not going to reply to individual opinions. I was just curious about this. It seems there's no tendency either way. Lets see if time and more answers will change that.

I used it at work about 10 years ago. Easy to learn and get used to but it takes time to get good at it. Especially when drawing curves. You can't move the mousepointer as fast as with a regular mouse, with precision. I think it also had switches at the endstop of the rollbar and when pressed down. I liked it but missed the speed and precision of the regular mouse so i went back to that. I used left hand for holding leftclick button while moving the rollbar with the right hand when i drag and dropped. But buttons and switches where programmable so a button could be told to leftclick and hold at first press and let go of the hold on the second press.

@Will_Kaydo No, i always have the browser open. I drag and drop different instrument plugins to the track pane. When i open Cakewalk the browser is already open and, usually, the instrument tab is selected. Now the audiofx tab is selected instead. I tried with saving an existing project and made sure the instrument tab was selected when i exited Cakewalk. When i reopened Cakewalk the audiofx tab was selected instead. I have dealed with two plugins that behaved very strange so maybe something is messed up with the start settings. ADDED. There is files that rebuild themself when starting Cakewalk, What is their name? It could be that one of those got corrupted.

The browser. It now starts up with the audio fx tab. When did this happen? It always used to start with the instrument tab. How do i get it back to do that. Workspace is "none" and i'm not using screen sets or mix recall. Funny enough i didn't react at first but got tired of changing to instruments every time i start Cakewalk.

Hard to tell. Could be too low resolution. Like if you have 1366 x 768 High Definition (HD) change to 1920 x 1080 Full High Definition (FHD) and see if that make a change to the better.

@Milton Sica I just wanted to point out that you don't have the checkboxes in the task queue activated. In any of your images. msmcleod has them checked. Probably have something to do with your different experiences.

Maybe you have to update your graphics driver to a win10 compatible one.

She has a good voice. He is good with the guitar. Doublechecking his soloperformence gives that he loses a bit of focus when he's singing at the same time. That acoustic show is good but not sticking out in any way. Unfortunately it reveals how repetitive her voice expressions is. I love to watch YT videos from the Voice. There's hundred thousends of people having extremely good voices. Only very few will be remembered. 😢 But all that matter of course is that we enjoy the music whether we listen or play. 🥰

Thanks everyone! All ideas is good. Some doesn't fit in to what i have in mind but could be useful in other ways. 👍 I'm also thinking if i should do it myself. (As usually happens in regards to practical work as plumbing, painting, locksmith, joinery and pcbuild). Thinking about downloading a demo to test, of Blue Cat Audios Plug'n Script. The problem is patience. I have in my life give up a lot of things because of my lack of patience regarding theoretical stuff. It seems i have to be able to see the finishline of a project to hold on to it. Maybe i'm older and wiser. We'll see. 🐘

@Fleer Well...i do have Facebook. Just to keep contact with relatives and some friends. Don't give that out by connecting it to another FB group. Most of my personal data is there as birthday and homeadress etc. Apart from the telephone number. FB is never going to know about that even if they nag their socks of. 😜

I did an answer earlier today but it seems to have vanished? It could be "intermittent connection" where the contact/cable to your headphone or speakers moves a tiny bit and loses the connection. That sort of thing could come and go.

Hmm...it was released as freeware on github. One month later the next version was no longer free. And since then it now costs minimum 2 euro for everyone that don't know how to build an installer from sourcecode. It makes me feel uncomfortable and, sorry to say, feels a little bit like extortion. Low cost but nevertheless extortion. I like the idea but is unsure if i would ever use it because Cakewalk handles my plugins very good. Yea, i'm an old whining fart. Sorry about that.
