Thanks for listening and feedback, Jack.

For this song I used Amplitube Metal Clean T (left side) and JCA 100H (right side)  for the high gain geetarz.

    All the best.

  2. A new mix is up.

I got some feedback in another forum that the choruses and bridges lacked separation and clarity, and that the snare was too thin.

I have tried to fix those things as best I could.

This is an old song of mine, I finally got around to recording and mixing.

    Feedback is appreciated.

                            NEVER

    Verse 1:
You tell me that I don't see the things I ought to see.
My vision of the world's not the same that it's for you.

    Bridge:

    Verse 2:
You don't want me to think, 'cause you think that part is yours.
My free mind's not a part of the part you planned for me.

    Chorus:
    Never!
    I will not be you.
    Never!

    Verse 3:
You say my life's an illusion, 'cause I don't see your truth.
Well I prefer my illusions, before I see your truth. No!

    Chorus 2:

    Verse 4:
You always wanted to change me into something I'm not.
I alwasys had my own life, still you want me to be like you.

    Chorus 3:

    Bridge 2:

    Solo:

    I will!
    Chorus 4:

  3. Hi. I have one of these, and use it with Studio One, with macro's I've made for the most used tracks, instruments, plugins etc. I'm up to 4 or 5 pages now.

It is a great time saver for me, and I also have the Cakewalk "package" I bought. It is however not as deeply integrated as it is in Studio One, due to macro's.

    All the best.

Yeah. Mitch at Sweetwater makes it seem like anything is possible with that thing. He shows bends and vibrato with the whammy bar but unless I missed it he didn't do any hammering. Here's a link to his vid on utoob. I've always wanted to try to emulate steel guitar triggering samples with something like that.

That video was the tipping point for me when getting it.

I got mine 2nd hand, and "had to" get a license for Synthmaster, to use it in standalone mode, which I never do.

I've got some of the EW libraries, espesially made for it, and it's fun to play.

I mostly use it as a regular MIDI device, triggering any synth I feel like.

    All the best.

Almost the perfect sound for Mr Cohen's inspirational lyrics (sorry I must not be a a sarcastic Wookiee)

Personally I think your cover add a dimension that was missing from Mr Cohen's original.  Mix soudn good here on the Adam's

Thanks for listening and the positive feedback, John.

I am very very familiar with the original! And I liked your take on it, which is dramatically divergent of course. I was surprised how well the delicate structure of this New Wave classic supported all the awesome heaviness that you hung on it.

When I next hear the original version over the thin speakers in the ceiling of Rite-Aid, I'll definitely think of your version and smile. Nice job!

Your mix sounded great on my better quality cans, very well done. The doubling of the vocal part had a bit of meander in the sync, and brought up an image of Satan at the karaoke bar on quaaludes. As 40 years have clicked by since 1982, I guess we might expect the ambience of the Metro to have changed.

    So that's a long-winded Nice Job!!!

    cheers,

    -Tom

Thanks for your insight, listening and positive feedback, Tom.

    All the best.

I'm not familiar with the original but I really liked your take. Nice work by the whole group!

Neither was I, until I joined this venture. I felt I had to listen to it before doing my take on it, though.

Thanks for listening and positive feedback, Kevin.

    All the best.

  9. Hi.

I did a cover of The Metro by Berlin earlier this year with some friends from the Produce like a pro academy for Warren Huart's birthday.

It was an idea conceived by Arthur Labus, and I jumped on it when asked to join.

We got Anita Potter to do some keys.

    Arthur Labus: Bass and drums.

    Anita Potter: Keys.

    Zargg: Guitars, vocals and mix.

    Feedback appreciated.

    All the best.

    Impressive

Is it my imagination or did I hear a little bit of Cure in there?

Thanks for listening and the positive comment.

As far as I know, none of the original members of The Cure were part of this ;)

    All the best.

  11. Hi. I turned 50 last year, and Am the singer in Bapu's Citizen Regen. That has been one of the things that have kept me going, is working with friends/others.

I have had a writers block for my own music for over 3 years, but started my 1st new song a month ago.

Before that, when it came to my own projects, I opened a project, played with some plugins, and closed it again.

I have done a couple of covers lately, just to work on something a bit different than my music. (A new one is almost finished.) That has also helped with my creativity.

Try to find a different angle to doing music, like doing a cover, just to do it.

    All the best,
