I think the new AMD's are on par if not out performing Intels with single core performance.

I also have an older Surface Pro 3 with 8gb ram and a i7 cpu. I have my DAW loaded on it along with SampleTank 4, EZD2, and other assorted vst. It serves it's purpose as a scratch pad for learning new software, writing songs. And to be honest, I am surprised at how much I can do with it. But it's not my main music maker.
  6. Nice song. Good tone on the lead.

I have already stated: Not attacking. Just calling BS when I see it. If you can't handle that I suggest you use the function of this forum that allows you to hide posts from people you don't want to see.
  8. I have no proof of what I am about to say. It's pure speculation on my part. NI may have gotten wind of what these retailers are doing (sending Ser# by email) and have held off shipping new stock to them for the purpose of getting more sales driven to the NI webstore. And stores like T&S sold product they thought would be delivered (like it always has been) in a timely fashion. Again, this is pure speculation on my part. Just trying to think why a good web site like T&S would knowingly do something like this.

Seems your on a quest to prove it. That's another story..... Nope. You never really understood the claims. May want to re-read his posts. : )

No. I don't need to. I know how to read. I also can comprehend what I read. I read the posts of a reputable man stating facts. May want to read Jim's posts again, as I suggested to you before.

No, your the one speculating. Or trolling.

Most BS comment in this thread. Hugh you seem to be speaking like Jim is referring to x86 architecture. Might want to read his posts again. For reference: Jim stated the speed of NVMe and Ram. Did you notice that he didn't list a machine/cpu/architecture? That's because it don't matter. Let that sink in.
  14. Kuassa's Vermillion is great on cleans.
  15. LOL!! Yeah let this sink in first!!!
  16. Update: Seems everything is working as intended. Thanks everyone for all the help in pointing me in the right direction and giving advise. It all helped out. I now have it set up the way I want it. What I didn't realize is that NI wants/requires you to go through NA to d/l and authorize everything. I got it all sorted out now. Thanks again everyone.
  17. Thanks for that video @kevin H I looked for some videos last night but all I found were ones showing how to install libs. I did what treesha suggeste3d and it appears to have worked. However, when I went to install another lib and tried to tell NA to install it to the directory I want, it refused to do it, despite following the help in the error message link. WHat I have I guess is a mess. With the free Kontakt Player I also got the Komplete Free stuff. I have no idea where that was d/l and installed to.

  19. In Native Access? This is where I am getting confused. If I move them, how do I point Kontakt to the new location. I am a komplete noobie as far as Kontakt!!
  20. Can anyone tell me/point me in right direction where Kontakt puts it's samples? Can anyone tell me/point me in right direction how to tell Kontakt to put the samples where I want them?
  21. At least they let you know ahead of time. Gotta give 'em props for that.
  22. That's my weak spot.
  23. I had forgot I had this. I purchased this on sale while I was at work. Shortly there after my work situation changed and I did not have the time that I use to have so I never got into this suite until yesterday. And the results I got with it so far are good. I got the beginning of a song with it. Today Iwant to see how easy it will be to progress to the next part/section/verse without loosing much of what makes this song groove. I have so far used the Chord, the Bass, and the Arp modules. I find it easy to work with. Get something going then just drag the midi from the module to the trk and move on. I was able to get something going with True Pianos (I will change this to another piano lib), then threw Thorn, and Syntronic (sounds great!!), and added Modo Bass (this also sound excellent too!). Then I went and added some lead and rhythm guitar intro, and the damn thing is starting to sound really good!! So I am really interested in seeing where this goes. It would not have gone like this had I not had these products, I can tell you that!
