There’s an older Reason Rack Extension called Beat Chop which is very similar. Basically chops up incoming audio in a buffer then allows you to play the individual slices using a MIDI keyboard. Kind of nice effect.

I’ve actually registered IK stuff I’ve gotten free and had sitting on a hard drive for over a year for participating in group buys. Don’t know how it’ll work if you bought direct from IK as they probably put the stuff in your account directly. That being said, if you haven’t registered it in Authorizer then it might be fine. I know a few people who bought products from 3rd party sellers recently in the sales in anticipation of the next group buy.

Very impressed with Audio Damage customer service. They got back to me straight away. I explained that I’d bought Replicant 2 on PB and they said “Plugin Boutique will send you a code when they get it in their store. Should only be a day or two. “. Don’t know what’ll happen with other 3rd party sellers but I’m guessing the same. All good.

So won't work if bought from a 3rd party seller. I've mailed them. See what they say.

Hmm. Bought Replicant 2 a couple of months ago. Can't find anything about an upgrade path so reckon there probably isn't one. Or?

Thanks man. Yeah, I will. Don’t get me wrong, it wasn’t that I didn’t like it. I’m a big fan of Dimension choruses. Got a couple of pedals which get a lot of use. I’m working in Reason and JP has one of the most in depth choruses in Rack Extension format I’ve ever seen. Does all the BBD models. Reason actually has a pretty good BBD included which also does granular. That in addition to about a hundred other chorus plugins. But I hear you on the all in one solution thing. I did like the stereo in Chor’X so I haven’t written it off completely.

That was one of the reasons I wondered if GAS was the only motivating factor.
