  1. HOOK - ALESIS - SSD5.map @Glenn Stanton Here's that drum map. Alesis Nitro kit with Steven Slate Drums 5.
  2. That's Tungsten theme, as supplied by Cakewalk. Are you talking about some other kind of theme? I hide the articulation space, as I never use it. I'd be happy to share the drum map when I get home from the day-job.
  3. If you look at the extreme right side of my screen shot you'll see the bar is moved all the way up...and it won't drag down to center the list. There's nothing down there below China. This blank section shows up....and persists.
  4. Well. Again. I'm more concerned with why there's a large gap above the kick drum row sometimes and not others. Serves no purpose as far as I know, and it's unfixable until it magically fixes itself the next time I open the project. As far as putting the new note on the right line, mamma always did tell me I should work on my aim.
  5. We're obviously miscommunicating. I'm not trying to add another kick drum sound. I'm trying to drop a kick drum HIT onto the PRV, and successfully doing so most of the time - unless I accidentally click just above the kick drum slot on the PRV. My concern is...WHY is there a large gap above the kick drum in PRV sometimes and not other times? Are we on the same page now? ?
  6. As you can see by the drum piano roll, I have a drum map with a kick drum on it. I don't think you can even get that view without a drum map. You can certainly drop in a kick drum there by clicking on the prv timeline.
  7. Yeah. It is. Looking closer, it happens when I double click on the midi in the clips pane to bring up the midi drum prv in the multidock. Previous to that, it looks correct. If I move to the docker and click on the piano roll it looks correct. Strange little bug.
  8. In some projects my midi drum piano roll shows this giant gap at the top. And some projects it doesn't. Anyone have a clue what's causing this or how to stop it? It's not a huge deal, but if I'm trying to manually drop in a kick drum and get just above that line, it'll drop a note at the bottom, below the china, and start a new row called "unmapped". It's just annoying.

  10. FYI - I installed a demo yesterday and their automated system isn't sending me the necessary code to get it running...and they may be out of the office the rest of the week because they haven't answered the support message I sent. No idea.
  11. I'm not a fan of comping lanes. I've tried it and it really just feels like too many damn options by the time I start comping. I do it like you do, Pathfinder. Even if I'm "in the real studio". I break up the vocal into chunks that I can really focus on. Maybe half a verse. Hell...even one line at a time sometimes. And it's not rare that I'm going back in to set up a punch for a word....or two words. Sometimes, even just the beginning of a word. So...I'm comping, but not in the "take lanes" sort of way. You just have to take a lot of care that the punches are in the right spot, and that you're delivering the vocal in a consistent way that allows for clean punches. And I'll work on verse 1, followed by verse 2 to help keep the tonality similar. Then I'll move on to chorus 1, chorus 2, etc. Anyway. That's what has always worked for me. That's the way I learned to do it when tape was the medium.
  12. How to stop automatic updates on Windows 11 | Windows Central: https://www.windowscentral.com/how-stop-automatic-updates-windows-11 Look for "Disable updates completely"...a little bit down from the top of the page. Once this is done, you'll have to tell the machine to update manually.
  13. In my case, I don't have any UAD bundles. I do have the freebie LA-2A as well as the actual LA-2A collection. Pretty sure I'm not being offered anything special. In fact, I know my offers are priced at hundreds of dollars more than what they're offering a person with a brand new account.
  14. I was under the impression that VST3 are supposed to be less cpu intensive because they don't DO anything until audio passes through them.
  15. Yeah. Those Slate freebies have all been a perpetual license so far.
  16. That press release is definitely AI generated. I tried to post it here, but it got flagged for moderation.
  17. Unless Avid decides to eat this mistake, I can assure you that UA will pull licenses from anyone who didn't qualify. They've done it before, and weeks after the promo. So love 'em while you got 'em. Print your FX while you can...lol.
  18. And again, on Wednesday: Hey all, I want to add a little clarity here. There was a time where we were going to add a FEW plugins to the Creative/Mix/Diamond and offer grace period free updates to many users. Instead, we decided to make new bundles and add TONS of new plugins to each. No one that bought the previous bundles was promised or was ever going to get ALL the plugins we added to the new bundles. The cross grades mentioned below represent a FAR greater value than the free updates we were planning at one point, and further apply to all buyers and not just some that fall into a grace period. So all previous buyers are FOR SURE in a better place after the cross grades than they would be otherwise. I, of course, understand that some users will still say, I wish I had waited and bought Signature and not Mix or Diamond last year etc. We can all say that about almost every transaction we’ve ever made. Here are the crossgrade offers: Creative to upgrade to Producer for $50. Mix to upgrade to Studio for $100. Diamond to upgrade to Signature for $150. These cross grades are priced at approx $8-12 per plugin. These are obviously crazy good deals. Never before seen by us. Drew Mazurek
  19. Universal Audio Official UA Representative - Drew Mazurek Nov 10, 2023 Hi all, I have gotten our upgrade offers fast-tracked. Support has coupons available for these users that allow: Creative to upgrade to Producer for $50. Mix to upgrade to Studio for $100. Diamond to upgrade to Signature for $150.
  20. Unless I'm reading it wrong, It's $150 only if you own the Diamond Bundle. Not any bundle.
  21. Looks to me like they've got wires crossed once again at UA. They're THE most disorganized bunch I've ever seen. If you don't own the correct bundle and you bought this, don't be surprised when UA pulls those licenses from you in the near future. They have no qualms about taking stuff back.
  22. If Universal Audio made a mistake, I promise you they won't honor it.
