It depends. I do like using expose as a first look at something because it gives a quick read on things on my desktop and I use ozone for more complex info within cakewalk. Yeah the proprietary installers are unwelcome.

I went to see The Specials and Police and GoGos about 1981 in Phillie (mainly for The Specials) and never heard of Oingo Boingo who were also playing but wow was I blown away by them!

When you use melodyne free standing and you get the bass as all A notes, have you tried choosing or  rechoosing the algorithm from the drop-down menu at the top of the gui? If you aren’t aware, besides the box asking what algorithm you want, the algorithm can be changed in that drop-down list. Like if I got a bass part showing all A after rendering, I go to the drop-down and change it to melodic or whatever and the processing occurs again hopefully with correct notes. Sounds like it does create blobs outside Cbb, it should be working in Cbb and you have been working at it, so maybe celemony can help. 

I’m using melodyne very very much right now aligning several tracks of backing vocals in small clips so many many times I am applying the region fx. Not once have blobs appeared in the melodyne window. As I said in my earlier post, I have to close melodyne window and go to the clip it is on, and double click that clip. Then melodyne opens a second time with the blobs showing. This has been posted on the forum before, so it’s not just me. Recent post on this picture added. Anyways if you haven’t tried this yet, just a reminder to try this. Also, I have developed the habit of making a loop in the cakewalk timeline so that when melodyne opens, its focus is where I want to work vs scrolling around to find a few blobs. Also, google search for free programs like melodyne and there are some. I downloaded but haven’t tried one neural something or other. Hoping your persistence pays off ! 

I'm not a wine drinker so I can't say. Never found wine appealing. He is mentioned in local news now and then for his business ventures or the occasional show. I havent listened to much of his music but I imagine he has a unique sense of humor. 

this was just in an AZ newspaper, I live not far from Jerome and Cottonwood where the winery, shop, restaurant and apparently gym etc are. They all look well!

From what John (who knows his stuff) says melodyne is only included for a month. It is an amazing program worth having !

Re. replacing drum sounds...Looking at your drum track in the image, it looks pretty simple, maybe mostly kick and snare? If you dont like the drum replacer sounds, you could find a kick or snare sample you like to use and cut and paste a match on a new track to match your drum phrase if its very basic, matching the notes positions, then groove loop or paste the measure or measures thru the entire new track. I have done this before, its not too bad if simple and the drum notes are on beats. 

Sometimes when using melodyne as a region fx, it will process the audio but nothing will show up in it. When that happens, i close the melodyne window and click on the clip and melodyne will open again with the blobs showing, hopefully. Maybe dragging to a midi track might similarly result in an empty melodyne? I've also had to use different algorithms to get a result like melodic vs percussive on occasion. 

yes! if i set a loop region in melodyne, the project freezes. if i set the loop region in cakewalks timeline no issues. ive been having some wierd stuff vst happening lately and figured it was just me after updating to latest cakewalk.  i am using latest cakewalk and melodyne studio 5. So i only use the cakewalk timeline to work around this.

just some guesses - try turning up the sidechain level increasingly and see if the yellow line shows up. In the video he turns it up to see it better. Also try adjusting the masked and clear to the bury side and see if the delta moves. The cleanup to left i think focuses more on low end like your bass/ kick.

Well I wont change the subject to solved just yet, but after re-running the redistributables in Noels post, then I got a reply from addictive drums with instructions to turn off defender, uncheck a box called controlled folder access in security settings, delete certain addictive drums files, and then download the installer again with  defender off, then I reinstalled addictive drums and it worked normally. 😁 I think I had downloaded melodyne last night and reinstalled it, but it didnt work right, but today after the addictive drums changes it did. Beyond me. So now melodic algo works right, I can edit/cut notes, they are where they should be instead of all in one long blob, I can enter note assignment mode normally. All seems well.  My internet is currently at 40 kb sec which is crazy. Anyways, I will be seeing how this goes, and learning from the helpful posts. Thanks to everyone for the informative comments !

Ill just toss in that re installing software rarely fixes anything. Think about it. The installer either worked or it didn’t. And most software stores all the associated files which often are not erased properly. 
Did you run the checks I mentioned? I’ll put my money on system issues. 

Thanks John just starting my day so will look into those you posted asap! I dont know much about any of them so my learning curve has to be awake ha. Maybe wont know what the findings mean ? I started off by a clean install of latest cake, as you said in one of your posts no need any longer to have so many older versions around. My internet is at 227 kbs at the moment so downloads can be challenging! Thanks again

I leaned in and put a hug on her that to this day I wish I could experience again .  I felt so much emotion stir up inside me for this woman at that moment in time and I asked her was she local and how was she getting home . She told me she lived around 3 or 4 blocks in the area and she had walked to the club. So I strapped my small Fe😉😉nder combo to my motorcycle and left it in front of the club . The I slung my guitar in a gig bag over my shoulder and walked her home .

We stood outside the fence of the lawn where she lived under a tree and talked for hours ....I felt so much of a connection that took place in the moment that to even touch her or kiss her would have taken away from the whole wholesome experience ...I figured she had seen and knew how my fingers moved on a guitar and I didn't want to spoil the moment !

When the Sun came up I said my goodbyes to her . To this day  I have always kept a place in my heart just for her .

I ran Noels post program and still not normal. I noticed microsoft edge did something on the 29th, very strange as i dont even use it. Probably did not get any insights into the meaning of life from me!

Ty Lynn, im sure its something with my computer cause so many many things are goofy. I tried all the algorithms and the only one that was sorta normal was percussive pitched on vocals so not good! Although probably workable. I uninstalled melodyne and addictive drums now and will try to figure out the rerun redistributals thing next if thats an underlying issue.

I use melodyne for creative stuff about as much as pitch correction. I hope i get straightened out soon too so i can get back to my song about vertigo, pun intended!

ty for the info. Can you tell me how to rerun those? I have no idea! Or point me to info. I did a clean reinstall of latest cakewalk following the instructions and quite a few things are still wonky.

Hi John, thanks. I added studio to my post.  I have some other vsts acting weird too, blank gui, addictive drums error msg. So probably just me. I will likely uninstall and reinstall cake tomorrow and try again. I have very slow internet sometimes things dont download well! 

Its really being weird. My melodyne version is studio 5.3.1.018. The melodic algorithm is my default, now when it opens there arent any individual blobs only one long blob. If I try to cut the one long blob with the note separation tool, it will not cut. I tried other algorithms and found the percussive pitched gives me the usual blobs and they can be cut and act normally, but this is a vocal track not percussion. I think I can work with it this way, just wondering if anyone else is having melodyne weirdness?  I haven't done anything like windows updates lately, and just used melodyne normally quite a bit the other day before I updated to the new cakewalk version.  Anybody else? Thanks
