  7. Definitely get your ticket number to Ryan regardless of the fact that we did end up extending this so you should have no problem. He can have someone look at your ticket htough, if you didn't get a reply within 1-2 business days (note that Monday - yesterday - was a holiday). The counter isn't manually updated. When I say it isn't real-time I mean that it doesn't update with every single registration but is automatically updated multiple times a day. Not yet technically, outside of the differences in this group buy we have gone 10x1 in a previous group buy so the end game of this one is probably the literal way to make history unfortunately. Correct, you need to receive and register your hardware then you get your freebie choices. With the extension this should no longer be an issue though. That's no problem, even without the extension we'd have taken care of you. This as above. You're welcome! Let's get this one to make multiple historical milestones! See above You're welcome. Glad this group buy ended up being quite a great (and soon 100% historic) one. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO (Darth Vader voice) At very least, yes that's quite likely But we should be able to make history in the group buy itself too.

  20. Hello everybody , Last night I recorded myself playing one of my Tele's over this weeks Twanger Central backing track . Week 210 . My guitar playing on this song is one continuous take ( no comps or punch ins ) . My performance was my second recording attempt after a quick test run through to set levels and get a rough idea of what kind of chops I had on tap . I had a lot of fun playing over the track and I'm posting this for grins and giggles As always I hope some one enjoys and gets something out of my geetar playing ... Here's the B T for anyone who has an interest in playing over the tune . all the best, Kenny

  21. Over several years we have had a few sporadic reports from users regarding plug-in settings being lost when loading projects. We take any kind of data loss very seriously and many people have tried very hard to reproduce this problem over the last five years with no success. I'm happy to report that we believe this issue has finally been solved thanks to the assistance of several testers and end users. I'd like to call out @scook, @Max Arwood, Justin Mitchell, @msmcleod and the other users who contributed to this search for their invaluable assistance and troubleshooting, and for testing various iterations of the fix over the last few months. Max and Justin in particular spent many hours with me allowing me access to remote troubleshooting sessions on their DAW to try and isolate the issue. This ultimately led to isolating some of the issues with Waves and FabFilter plugins. Some background for those interested in this saga: While the actual problems appeared to be related to plugins from certain manufacturers, this is not caused by bugs in the plugins themselves. Rather, it was an unexpected interaction between specific VST3 features and the order in which plugins are loaded in the host. (This specific issue has preexisted since SONAR X3 when VST3 was introduced). The source of the issue with settings lost when loading a project, was a somewhat confusing part of the VST3 spec that allows plug-ins to send parameter changes to the host for delegation back to the plugin. The issue here was that certain VST's rely on this "parameter feedback loop" from the host to update their internal processor's when loading the project, even though the plugin state has been fully initialized by the host when loading the project. CbB/SONAR did not do this parameter reflection step when loading from projects. Without this step, occasionally a few of these plugins would reset their state to their default parameters even though they state has been fully loaded by the DAW. Whats even more confounding is that the reset behavior was not consistent - it would happen randomly, which makes it very hard to pinpoint the root cause. Why this confusing and error prone behavior was built into the VST3 spec is a subject for another debate I will be reporting this to Steinberg since the specification doesn't call out hosts to support this explicitly, and their unit tester doesn't even flag this as an error which should be an easy thing to do. The second problem had to do with loading fxchain presets and prochannel state. There was an isolated bug where Cakewalk's internal state for the plugins parameters could get out of sync with the actual loaded parameter state when copying or moving plugins around. This issue was also addressed. We have sent out test builds to several customers who reported these intermittent issues and they have all reported it as resolved in use over several weeks. The good news is that as a result of this work we've also optimized our internal parameter management for plugins which speeds up loading projects and various operations like cloning tracks and copying plugins. We're very happy to to put this one to rest finally and make CbB even more stable and failsafe! Stay tuned to see these fixes in our next public release. PS: Please note that settings being lost doesn't necessarily imply that its a problem in the DAW. This symptom can be caused by multiple reasons including authorization problems, demo mode or other plugin installation issues.

Studio One 4.5.3 adds several other improvements and enhancements, such as; A Remove Plug-in Settings function for the Plug-in Manager, New commands for Vertical Zoom In/Out Fine, a The ability to apply the Select Notes command to muted notes. Support has also been added for the Apple Notarization service in macOS 10.14 Mojave and 10.15 Catalina. The update is free to existing users and should appear in user accounts shortly or as a prompt when starting Studio One software.

  26. Of course some of the themes have customized track icons. For instance, the ones that come with Gran Vista Black & Blue have a certain amount of non-intrusive plastic glare (what else?). Here are the stock versions (upper) and the modified versions (lower). But admittedly no dazzling color combinations. Rather kind of like restrained.

  33. You should receive a code with your buy, I guess. You have to paste that code in the authorization manager and your plugs will appear inmediatly If you didn't received any code, submit a support ticket telling your issue and they should fix it sooner or later. As peter stated, they will honor the GB if you buy hardware within the GB date. Don't worry

  38. I found my letter! It is the directions on how to clean install Cakewalk. This is from Support (Mike)....... "To completely remove all Cakewalk software from your computer and reinstall it, follow the steps below. Please note that this will remove any effects presets and key bindings you may have made in your Cakewalk software. You can back these up separately if you like, using Utilities menu > Cakewalk Plug-in Manager, Edit > Preferences > Customization > Keyboard Shortcuts and Edit > Preferences > Customization > Colors. 1) Run all Cakewalk uninstallers. This is normally done by utilizing the Add/Remove programs tool from the Control Panel. BandLab Assistant and the previous Cakewalk Command Center also have uninstall options within their respective programs. 2) After the uninstall process is complete, open the Run Prompt. In Windows 7, 8, and 10, this can be done by holding down the “Windows” key and pressing “R” on the keyboard. 3) At the Prompt, type regedit and click [OK]. 4) Click [Yes] if asked to allow the program to make changes to your computer. Important: When you access the Registry Editor, create a backup by going to File > Export. In the Export Registry File window that comes up, make sure “Export range” is set to “All” and that “Save as type” is set to “Registration Files (*.reg)”. It is very important to create a backup of your registry because if you accidentally delete a registry key, there is no undo function. You can, however, double-click on the Registry backup you made above to re-import your registry keys if you make any mistakes. You must re-import your backup (if needed) before restarting your computer. 5) Delete the following Registry keys. If you do not have one of the Registry keys below, simply proceed to the next one on the list. HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Cakewalk Music Software HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Cakewalk Music Software HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Wow6432Node\Cakewalk Music Software 6) Open the Run Prompt again. 7) Copy and paste %appdata% into the prompt and click [OK]. On Windows 7, 8, and 10, the “AppData\Roaming” folder will open. 8) Right-click on the Cakewalk folder and select “Delete”. 9) Open the following directories and delete their contents: C:\Program Files\Cakewalk C:\Program Files(x86)\Cakewalk 10) At this point, you can reinstall your Cakewalk software via BandLab Assistant. Note: Any products from 2015-2017 should be available to install via the previous Cakewalk Command Center, while older programs may need the original install disc. --------- We're actually updating some parts of the program to not rely on the older redistributables, as some of those parts were originally built with those in mind. Now that we're doing quite a bit of cleanup work, that particular issue should not come back in the future! In any event, if you have any questions or need help along the way, please do get in touch and we'll always be happy to help." Good luck!

  42. Not sure if it is worth the effort. The VCV Bridge is a temporary solution introduced a little over a year ago. It is not really supported by the VCV developer. There is a VST version of of VCV Rack based v0.6 that works with CbB called VeeSeeVST Rack (the kvr thread has links to the development on GitHub). It has most of the free modules (although a few are missing such as NYSTHI and Vult). It also does not have any of the paid modules. Pretty sure development stopped with VCV Rack v1.0 was released. Still may be a better plug-in solution for now.

  47. The advice to install both is good. Personally speaking I find that the Bandlab version takes longer to open, crashes more often and is generally less tolerant of my "while playing" scooting around the UI on my old win 7 pc than Platinum ever was. I'm trying to embrace the new, but the day I revert back edges ever closer.
