Wookiee
Missi was a strange dog from the first day we adopted her from the Dogs Trust. She redefined chilled, she settled into our home like it had always been hers. Unfortunately on the 5th of February two weeks after my partner Ms W died. On returning from the stables my daughter in law, who, with my son, had been looking after her, Missi, whilst I had been in hospital for a little open heart surgery found her in the kitchen. She had died, we have no idea why or from what, she had been fine when they went out in the morning. This is my tribute to her it may seem sad but Missi was super laid-back, loved to walk, didn't need a lead, just happy to sniff. Toys used in Missi Arturia Stage 73 Toontrack EZB Bass Fretless Superior Drummer 3 Avatar kit Cherry Audio DCO-106 FX Boz Digital's +10dB Compressor Overloud Breverb Arturia Delay Tape-201 She was between 12 and 14 years old, Labrador cross probably a English shorthaired pointer. 3
User 905133
Sorry to hear of your losses. Though I never shared my home with a dog, some have lived at the homes of my next-door neighbors (on both sides). As well, the sidewalk running past my house has been part of a regular routine for many neighborhood walkers (dogs accompanied by humans). Over the decades I have learned that dogs (as well as people) have their own unique "personalities" and special ways-of-being-in-the-world. Thanks for sharing Missi with us.

For the firstv20 years of being with Ms W we didn't have a dog, then Ms W stopped working due to health issues and we took on a a chocolate Lab who was destined to be murdered.
treesha
Lovely melancholy tribute to Missi. Wow, Ms W and Missi. My condolences. Glad you are doing ok after your surgery in that respect. My hockey goalie son’s beloved yorkie humorously named Rambo, well up in years, coincidentally died on my birthday and he is still sad about him many years after. We sorta have matching birthday trauma cause on his birthday I got the call to evacuate my home due to an encroaching wildfire that fortunately skipped my neighborhood. Im not a pet person but know its tragic for those who are to lose their pets. Take care, that’s a lot to go through!

KSband
My song I posted "1975" features a photo of my awesome dog " Jr." I had him from age 13 to 29. He was so cool, I still have dreams about him 36 years later.
freddy j
My sincere condolences on your loss of Ms W and Missi. I hope that you are recovering from your surgery. That is a lot to deal with and I hope that you are alright! The song that you have posted for Missi is beautiful and quite a tribute indeed. I have had the good fortune to have shared my home and life with two dogs and lost both. They are always on my mind. I am amazed at how such strong relationships can be developed between two different species. I am also convinced that these are two way relationships. I hope that you are coping and wish you all the best. 1

Larry T.
Sorry about your losses Wookiee but, perhaps, this can be seen as a gain for them as they are no longer bound by the physical realm and are free to exist in a state of peace and wisdom 🌞 🌞 Strong but steady, emotional but controlled, evolving continually....nice music you made there 🎵 🎶 Edited February 11 by Larry T. 1

Loosing a furry friend is always tricky, I hadn't seen Missi for several weeks due to my health, which is why this hurt, another 5 days and she wouldhave come home. Thank you for your kind words and thoughts.
