KSband
Yee Haw, that's good one. Could definitely be a country hit.
timboalogo
Lordy you're some kind of player! Love the lyrics: "singing with the coyotes, running neath the stars at night" ... just wow. Thanks for this song Mark. Timbo 1
mark skinner
OK , so .. I've got it laid out the way I want. Now I'm going to start replacing tracks. I've got about 18 that have been "frozen" , cut up and moved around. Not very effeciant (I know). This was built from an instrumental I did in 2020 with some additional tracks. I've learned a little bit since then (with your help) and I'm going to try and bring it up to par. @KSband , Thanks .. Yee Haw is how I felt. I probably posted it a little early though .. @timboalogo , You wouldn't think I am much of a player if you saw how many times I hit "undo". I'm going to try my best to improve this one. Hang in there , it's probably going to take me some time .. I was kind of dissapointed when it was over but now I realise how much work is left to be done .. Thanks .. mark

equality
Great feel in this one. Some Ry Cooder vibes. Sound quality, playing, vocals with harmonies and mix are excellent. Lyrics move me as well and great mood set with the coyote. A musician friend of mine says sometimes that I play too much - less is more so to speak. I think there's a tendency of this here, sounds a bit crowded. Perhaps panning the instruments more left to right or turn taking would improve? Sorry for nitpicking but when everything sound so well, I wish that for those remaining two percent as well.

treesha
Sounds really great. From the desert where the sky is big and the coyotes are regularly singing around here. . No campfires anymore, too dangerous, sadly. And on very rare occasion a rattle snake. Just a little more highs on your voice might add some more clarity. Love the mood and the story.

SteenE
Sounds really great. Personally I would push the vox a teeny bit up.
mark skinner
Hello , I replaced the L/R Di guitars with a LaPatrie nylon (SM57). The upright bass guitar was replaced with an electric. (except for the intro). Quite a bit of under the hood work carving some space and trying to settle things down. @treesha , bumped the highs up a little on the vox. Thanx . I think I settleled it down a good bit and got better seperation. I also had some Major conflicts with the bass and cello. @SteenE , Vox bumped up a little. I've been going back and forth every time I listen. On 2/3/2025 at 7:24 PM, DeeringAmps said: Mark. Looking forward to the finished tune. Thanks t. Maybe this is it , maybe not .. Appreciate the comment(s) on Soundclick. 👌 Things I'm not sure of - 1. Main vox level. 2. Whether to replace the intro upright bass. 3. Intro electric guitar volume. Thank You for the listens and your feedback .. ms
Ross Smithe
Really great job on this one Mark! Stellar guitar work as always, nice vocs also. I agree maybe push those up a bit!
treesha
Nice. I wasnt sure if the coyotes were in the song or in my vicinity ha. 1. I think the main vox are clear and good level. 2 The upright bass sounds a lot like the electric bass to me, with the upright being a little bit more smushy but very similar. So either way works I think, 3 the guitar in the intro is prominent but it is the star at that moment so I like it. Enjoyed it from the desert coyote land....
