GC Store Flooded!

Ouch, that is one freak accident... is the floor in that store is below ground level?? It still has 2 feet of water in it, so I am assuming it is recessed. Terrible timing for the holiday season too :(

Stupid side note... there is a Cybertruck review (I didn't watch) in the recommended videos after the GC one. I saw my first Cybertruck in real life today on the road and was shocked by the terrible craftsmanship (it is pretty fugly to begin with). None of the panels on that vehicle were smooth... they all looked like they had been pounded out in someone's garage. I happened to be at a good angle that the sun made that obvious, (roof and driver's side rear quarter got the best reflection when I saw it) but I have never seen such a thing in my life.

I actually saw my first one today too. I didn't get as close a look as u did but yeah, I thought it was ugly. Other than the light blue color, it looked like something u'd make out of plywood. Visually, I don't know how anyone would be proud to own one.

It actually does. It even put a smile on my face 😄

Here's another smile:

(but they didn't respond to "mush" very well)

(no, they weren't really going to be pulling the trike, it was just for the cuteness of the idea)

I don't think that would be cost effective anyway. Those big dogs prob arent cheap to feed 😄

No, they're not. ;)

When all four were still around (it's just JellyBeanThePerfectlyNormalSchmoo now, the one sitting down in that first pic), one of the bags below would be about a week's worth

(much older version of the trike, from before JellyBean and PeanutButter even existed; the trailer was later modified with another pair of outer wheels to haul a piano home)

Yeah, I think my homebuilt EV looks better

That is friggin' nice. First reminded me of a tuk tuk, but a lot more visual appeal and class! I definitely respect things that are customized and unique.

An electric tricycle and a pack of 4 St. Bernards. You obviously have your priorities squared away.❤

Did Cybertrucks just go on sale or something? I spotted my first one in the wild a couple of days ago myself.

My reaction was laughter. It looks like a car someone in my 1970's grade school class would draw for an art assignment.

And of course who can forget Elon Musk reminding the world of the great value of rehearsal at its introduction?

Great job. I look forward to the rockets that you design. Something tells me Jelly Bean will be the first dog on Mars 🚀

Thanks---but since she's actually an alien in a dog costume I don't really want to risk sending her back home to report.... ;)

Well, the trike is called the SB Cruiser because it was built to carry them...they're too big for any of the OTS bicycle trailers, so I built trailers first to carry them (one at a time) behind a regular bike, then later the bike version of that trike (CrazyBike2), then eventually built the trike to carry Tiny (the smallest of the ones I've had) so I wouldn't have to pull a trailer (which is inconvenient and can be dangerous on some of the roads around here that there aren't any alternate paths for).

It's evolved a lot over the years, from something even more primitive than the one in the piano pic to what you see in the first pics.

Some bad 70's scifi vehicles I *still* like better than the siburtruk:

There were some concept cars I like the look of

and i still want one of these if it comes with all the options ;)

and this one was still better than siburtruk

OTOH, maybe it's better than the Citicar

And I'd vote that it's better than this

Thanks!   Most everything I have is customized in some way, and what I make completely from scratch myself (like the trike) is unique because it's usually made out of some random junk I ended up with, using whatever I had laying around that happened to do the job I needed it to. ;)

A lot of those designs remind me of the 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona (or 1970 Plymouth Superbird). When growing up, there were two of those sitting next to a barn about 200 yards from the road for years (in hindsight I think one may have been a Superbird). I considered them a bit fugly; but due to the one-year run and history of those models, they sell for close to a quarter mill nowadays.
