Colin Nicholls
I don't think the background of the FX Chain window or the background of the FX Chain name (similar to the Synth Rack Name Bezel) can be changed by a theme. Any themer out there managed to figure this out? I'm stumped. Edited October 21, 2020 by Colin Nicholls
scook
References to images and colors are stored in FX Chain presets. The customize UI option is in the FX Chain context menu. Right-click on the FX Chain to bring up the context menu.
Colin Nicholls
Ah, I see. Independent from theming but still customizable. Thanks, @scook. I recommend taking a break from reading the docs and go for a walk outside or something like that ?
sjoens
Editable graphics are located in the "Cakewalk Content/Cakewalk Core/FX Chain Graphics" folder. Oddly, All versions of my Sonar& Cakewalk right-click/Customize UI menu default to the Sonar X1 folder, not the appropriate one. Not sure if that can be changed. May be a bug no one noticed yet... ? X2 had issues altering the graphics and was left unfixed but CbB seems to work OK. Edited October 11, 2020 by sjoens
scook
Likely inherited from previous installs Each version of SONAR and CbB has a UserPaths\EffectsChainArtworkFolder in their version ofHKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Cakewalk Music Software\ For example the full registry path to EffectsChainArtworkFolder for CbB is HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Cakewalk Music Software\Cakewalk\Core\UserPaths Probably should be global instead of one entry per DAW. sjoens
Makes sense since they're all identical, except X2 which doesn't have a folder. And thanks for the registry tip. One could globalize it for all versions there. Edited October 11, 2020 by sjoens
