  1. I love these Style PAKs. After awhile, BIAB becomes so amazing. Imagine getting 160 complete arrangements from something like EZKeys for $29. I know it's totally different, but you have so many genres to experiment with your song.
  2. Oh so the Legacy was 32bit and the Korg Collection is 64bit? Glad I didn't buy Legacy. M1 opened up fine in Cubase. As it should, I guess.
  3. If anybody is planning to take advantage of this offer, I discovered that you can't install it until you update BIAB to the latest build, 632, which came out quite recently. If you don't do that, BIAB will only accept the idea of Xtra Styles PAKs up to 6. Remember that whenever you add a Styles PAK you have to click "Rebuild" in the Styles Picker for it to index everything and make it usable. Another tip is that you can filter a single Xtra Styles PAK in the Style Picker using the dropdown from the "Other" button. I'm using that filter now to audition all the new stuff.
  4. And I don't think they ever will. They seem to be putting their energy into Gadget. It is weird that my M1 on my iPad is so much bigger than my M1 on my desktop. Also, the GUI on the iPad is nicer. I'm probably going to go for the Gadget plugins for PC. I sure hope they have an expandable GUI.
  5. Until August 31st. On Sale... - KORG Gadget 2 series - KORG Collection for Mac/Win - All KORG’s iOS / Android music apps FYI, the Windows Gadget 2 Plugins finally includes all the gadgets, but they still don't have NKS or AAX. Still, over 40 gadgets for $149 is a pretty good deal. There are some new Gadgets: Edina (Taito Arcade Synth), Otorii (Sega 16-bit Drum Machine), and Warszawa (Korg Electribe Wave) I decided to pick up M1 for $24.99, because the M1 Gadget, Darwin, doesn't allow Combis and doesn't allow you to make your own patches. Maybe I'll get Gadget when it has NKS. Get the Korg deals HERE
  6. On the PG Music Site, they introduce the PC BIAB every December. I think the Mac one is around May. I see on this forum that there are occasional sales elsewhere too. But I don't know if the prices are better than the PG Music intro sales. The regular list prices are really high, so you do save money if you buy during the intro price. I don't think they do BF because the intro sale starts the first week in December. Last year they introduced Xtra Style Pak 5 in July. Then they brought out Pak 6 in December when BIAB 2019 came out. So I expect there will be a PAK 8 this December, but you won't be able to use it unless you upgrade to BIAB 10. I'm sure I will get the upgrade in December. BIAB is a program I use for all my songwriting. I almost never use the actual tracks, but they are great to help get a song started, experiment with genres, tempos, and keys, try different intros and endings, etc.
  7. Maybe you do. But for people who aren't that familiar with BIAB... The XTra Styles PAKS are in addition to all the Real Tracks that come with the program. It gets confusing, because sometimes BIAB will have a sale and include some stuff they call adpacks (I think) with the program. XTraStyles PAKs always cost more money. They are like expansion modules. No new samples or performances. Just the existing Real Tracks and Drums are combined in different ways. There's nothing in them that you couldn't do yourself. But as you collect them, you get hundreds of these presets, all mixed perfectly. To me they make BIAB amazing. They release new PAKs each year with the new versions of BIAB. So they only work if you have the version of BIAB that has the Real Tracks they use. So if somebody had few years old version of BIAB, they might only be able to get the first two or three Xtra Styles PAKs to work. You can definitely spend a lot of $$$ keeping BIAB updated and getting all these PAKs.
  8. Includes over 160 RealStyles in the following PAKs* Rock-Pop 7 Jazz 7 Country 7 Americana 2 Info and demos are HERE *Requires Band-in-a-Box Version 2019 UltraPAK/Audiophile Version Xtra Styles PAKs 1-6 are available for $29 each or $189 for 1-7 This is a really nice set, definitely worth $29 if your BIAB is up-to-date. If you're not up-to-date, it's best to wait for December, when BIAB 2020 for Windows will come out.
  9. Note that this is a standalone and not a plugin.
  10. Definitely the best Wrenchenspiel out there, and $8 is a steal. Seriously, a lot of fun and a Gr8tDio! ?
  11. This is what Lukas from Audiofier wrote me: We did not include snapshots for each REV DI The reason is: in all others Riffendium versions the parameters for each preset are set taking in consideration what Guitar Amp is used and what effect is added to it. For the REV versions specifically, the resulting preset parameters are heavily dependent on the starting sampled sound (amp, crunch, distortion etc...) and the sequences which include reversed sounds are composed while hearing the resulting sound and all the pieces of the puzzle are quite intertwined. REV DI versions presets and sequences will have to be made while an AMP simulator (Guitar Rig, Bias Amp, Amplitube etc..) is added after Riffendium, and of course it would be impossible for us to foresee which amp simulator each user owns, and how he intends to use it, and consequently do all presets for each possible choice. Custom presets for all REV DI version will have to be made by the user. Another option is to copy and paste REV version's snapshots in REV DI's snapshot folder, deactivate all pedals effects (chorus reverb etc...) and the cabinet (choose the last option in the cabinet menu, "NO CABINET"), then insert an Amp simulator and add effects like reverbs/delays etc..
  12. I finally looked at this carefully and see that their $699.99 Perpetual License only includes products available at the time of purchase. Any new AIR products will not be included. So the $199.99 per year plan might be a better deal. https://www.airmusictech.com/cloud Or.... you might want to pick most of them up for $50-$75 or so. ?
  13. Weird thing I found with this was when I loaded it up Kontakt within Komplete Kontrol the light guides worked on my KK keyboard. As I changed patches the various colors lit up in the right places. I don't know why this is--it's not an NKS product--but it's extremely helpful. Maybe this is the case with other Kontakt instruments, but I've never noticed it before. And as I'm sure you all know, there are no snapshots for the REV DI instruments for any of these instruments. You have to make your own, if you want them.
  14. As a guitar player with a lot of guitars and a TON of guitar virtual instruments--and a big Audiofier fan--I have been watching Riffendium closely since it came out. Still.... I wavered on buying it when the first versions and the ambient versions came out and I wavered on this deal. I'm SO glad I got this. It's amazing. If they come out with an acoustic version, I am sure I will get that. But I bet Audiofier knows that. ? Make sure you read the manual and learn how to install all the snapshots, because they really make it. The only negative for me is that I will be messing with this instead of working on my new music project. ?
  15. I passed on the Soundiron deal and bought 8Dio's New Studio Sopranos for $78. Highly recommended. If you like the way this sounds.... this is exactly what all the legatos sound like. And there's a lot more to this library, including poly legato on phrases.
  16. @kitekrazy Do you know what directory the Vita files are? I'd like to delete them. It seems like Vita only works in Acid and the sounds aren't as good as the ones I have in Kontakt.
  17. This is a really good description of the many features of HALion. In terms of creating your own instrument, it has a set of pre-made knobs and sliders that can be dragged into an interface. You can easily assign them functions. You can use the sounds that come with HALion or drag in your own samples--and they even have a system for making this easy, with auto-naming, etc. So if you have some simple thing that you want to make an instrument out of--HALion 6 should work fo you. And there is a free player, so you could give it to a friend or maybe even sell it. For me, the best part of HALion is the FlexPhrasers. They exist to a lesser extent in SE. Steinberg describes them as an arpeggio and phrase player, but they are much more than that. They respond in a much more interesting way than any other arpeggiator I've had. One way to think of them is that they are like EZKeys. You have a bunch of keyboard patterns that you can use on any keyboard sound--or anything really. The difference is that they also have FlexPhrasers for Guitar, Bass, Keys, Drums, Synths, etc. So you can layer up a single preset with different FlexPhrasers. Once that's done you can play any chord, or in some cases, single notes, and it will play auto-arrangements. The only thing about them is that the technology comes from the Motif and the Montage Keyboards--they were ported over, but not created for DAWs. I have had some issues trying to get the FlexPhrasers to line up. It's almost as if they are loops that come with no named BPM. But they are very fun to play with. You can save 8 Flexphrasers in a patch and switch between them with key switches. Some of the FlexPhrasers come with key switches for different articulations built in. I totally think this is worth more than $125. My only concern is that if they are selling it that cheap, they may be dumping it, not be working that hard on HALion 7. For example, I doubt we will see more FlexPhrasers. But they are trying to get other companies to make HALion instruments, and that's a good thing. As an instrument, it is more like Falcon than it is like Kontakt, as you can layer many different kinds of synth sounds. Kontakt now has Wavetable, but HALion also has Granular, Virtual Analog, tone wheel organ, etc... all of which can be made into layered patches, along with the large included library of sampled sounds.
  18. Thanks. Downloading now. I had no issues installing AP8 or SFP12. Very easy install and validation. I then put in MP3 in my music computer and regular computer. No problem registering both. @kitekrazy Do you know where the loops are installed?
  19. I just installed Acid Pro 8. Anybody know where I can find the 9 GB of Acid Loops?
  20. Yeah, I'm definitely going to get Lap Steel. One final question about the World Pack. I don't know why, but the Magix deal may be increasing my interest in Acidized loops. Is it your impression that ALL of these loops are Acidized? It doesn't say so in the separate libraries. And I don't know how you'd be able to check that. But if there's anything you can share, I'd like to hear it. Thanks!
  21. Don't tell anybody I told you, but iZotope is going to give you FULL ACCESS to the Elements series for only $49.99 a month!!!
  22. I can't stop listening to it. Schlager On, Dudes!
  23. You guys are forgetting about the $19.99 voucher code for Producer Planet! They have AWESOME video content. I will definitely be using their animated flag of Uruguay a LOT!! https://www.producerplanet.com/us/article/animated-flag-of-uruguay-2645/
  24. What is wrong with Acid Pro 8? I have Acid Pro 7, and it seems like a good deal to upgrade and get 64 bit for $25. Not to mention SF Pro 12.
