I downloaded them all and had a quick play through. My first impression is that I'm not impressed. I wish I hadn't rushed into this. I should have stopped and done more research. IMO the vocals don't work at all without a lot of reverb on them. When you take the reverb off they don't sound so great. Honestly they sound too washy with all that reverb. When I have time I will explore the mics and presets more. Maybe I will like them more later. But the raw samples don't sound good to my ears so I don't know what I'll be able to do. When you compare this to the immediate first impression you get from Genesis or Solo Opera or Jaeger or 8dio's The New Sopranos, or the terrific Calypso by Auddict that was just on sale, they don't stand up for me. The wordbuilder is cool, though. Much more developed than most. But first I have to believe in the vocals enough to want to take the time earn to use it. ?

Also, they really got me with that "Going Out of Business" thing. It's like they have a bunch of boxes in their store room and after they are gone--no more choirs for us. ?

I haven't posted in a while, but this is a crazy good deal. Get all three Virharmonic Choirs for €99 - https://www.virharmonic.com/home They seem to be ending the series. They are selling out all of their UVI licenses. While supplies last. Very rarely discounted, and when they are it's not for much. VOICES OF PRAGUE (€299) SOLOISTS OF PRAGUE (€149) CZECH BOY'S CHOIR (€299) So yeah, this is really a €747 deal, unlike so many where the list price is just nonsense. I think all of these have elaborate voice-builders. From what I've been able to gather, they sound really good, but aren't as easy to use as some other libraries. But a vocal library lover like me will have trouble resisting these at this price. If I do, I will own everything Virharmonic makes. ?

I played this for a few hours last night and it is incredible. There are seriously Omnisphere-worthy sounds in this thing and I don’t throw those words around. I spend a ton of time on Omni and know SA2 pretty well too. This has tons of amazing new sounds, the kind you load and want to keep playing and playing It’s a big advance over version 2 There is also a lot of overlap with UVI libraries like their digital modules. It’s not just pads, leads, arps, etc. —there are some very good digital keys in there too. Fun sampled sounds from the old days. I was playing a lot of lush choirs and vox.

Definitely check. Otherwise it is $129 to get the 2021 version, which always has a lot of new RealTracks. I have seen this a lot with PGMusic on social media. Many special sales for the previous year's version in the fall. I have never seen any BF offers on BIAB, but I suppose it is possible. But their new version is out around the same time or maybe a week or so later.
-
By the time BF comes along, the normal price will be $149. So if it is included in a 30% off BF sale, the price will be a little more than the $99 intro price. But I don't think you will be able to get the $49 upgrade after this initial offer.

In my opinion, Maxime Luft of Organic Samples is one of the most gifted creators of virtual instrument libraries working today. He's very young, he's a prodigy, but I think in time he will be seen as on the level of a Tarilonte. Obviously OT thinks that too or they wouldn't have bought his company. Maxime and Ben Osterhouse are the exciting new generation. (Ben has a new library out too--did anybody list it here?) I need another piano like a hole in the head, but this sounds so beautiful. My go-to for a Yamaha is Keyscape and I just might like this better. The deal of 127 euros for all of his libraries is pretty amazing, considering it includes this, his Tableau strings (120 euros) and my favorite solo vocal library Solo Opera (59 euros), another vocal library featuring the same singer as Solo Opera, and the amazing. Majestic Horn (2 euros). Good stuff. EDIT: That is my upgrade price. The actual price for the set is 199 euros.

Thanks Peter! -
This is one of my favorite UVI products and this sounds like an excellent upgrade for $49. I look forward to getting on the site. On another topic, there is usually a UVI 30% off store-wide sale during Black Friday.

I was reading Electronic Musician back in the 1980s. I don't know if it ever stopped publication. -

Is the issue out on Zinio yet? I think 179 is the 12-20 issue. -

In terms of quantity of stuff, AmpliTube 4 MAX has more stuff than Amplitube 5 and and AmpliTube 5 SE, except for the 12 extra rack effects and the 4 extra rooms in regular 5. Am I right about this? Maybe the numbers don't tell the whole story--perhaps the rack effects have changed. The video says "19 new effects racks." What I want to explore is what the 19 new effects racks are. Apparently they all look like MixBus now. As I plan to get MixBus someday and a lot of them are just cutdown versions of T-RackS... going from SE to full 5 might come down to two more rooms. I'm wondering if 5 SE might be enough. But I suppose many presets will only work if you have 5. Anybody have any thoughts on this? I have often heard on places like VI:Control that the ARP2600 is the best thing SONiVOX sells, and that the whole package is worth it for this alone. I don't think that SONiVOX made it, actually. I heard they licensed it from somebody else. Not a lot of the 2600s look so much like the real one, with patch cords, etc, like this one. But I don't have it, so I don't know what it sounds like. In terms of the package, SONiVOX, there are some real gems in there, like Atsia Percussion and Silk Road Percussion. I've heard great things about their Strat. Big Bang is pretty good but has bugs, etc. The orchestral stuff is excellent, only lacking in legato. Very good for layering in with other libraries. The issue really is that so many of these go on sale separately for practically nothing, so it may be best to just get the ones you want. I have seen the Singles for as low as $3. So it's easy just to buy the ones you want. Back in 2016/2017 the strings went for $1. ?

I think they are VSTs. ujam did make some REs, but they were rebranded. But if things go like last year, everything will be 50% off in the ujam store during BF, plus a couple of other special flash sales in discount stores. Hustle went for $9.95 and Solid 2 was 75% off. Personally I'm going to wait...

Wow, Beatmakers are $19!

Also, for $40 bucks more you can get the entire SONiVOX Premier Collection. ? ttps://www.pluginboutique.com/product/1-Instruments/58-Inst-Bundle/2700-Premier-Collection

My New Video: What Makes This Song Awesome? LOUIE LOUIE (Not a Deal)

Hah! I love Strats but mine is a cheapie and pretty bad. I think I paid around a $150 bucks for it. Too much. That said, it is better than I described it. I often use it for other songs than LOUIE LOUIE. I often mix it in my music to give a hint of realism to my virtual guitars -

I love GLORIA as much as I love LOUIE LOUIE and it is as much an important part of my youth, but I don't know what I can come up with. Maybe I'll think of something someday. Anyway, I take my position as a YouTube non-influencer seriously and I think I should look for something else that could use the power boost from my less than 300 subscribers. GLORIA doesn't need the massive publicity push it would get from a Tiger recommendation. -

After all these threads I've read here and on VI:Control, I'm still confused. I have Amplitube 4 MAX and the extra expansions from Total Studio 2. I'm hoping belief that if I buy Amplitube 5 regular I will get a new program with a new serial. It will include all the sounds I have licenses for in their new incarnations. It will have everything in AmpliTube 5 MAX except for Satch and Dimebag and all the other ones I don't own. I think SE won't do that. Hopefully @Peter - IK Multimedia can clear that up for me as that sounds fine to me. If Total Studio 3 works like TS2, it will include AmpliTube 5 MAX plus any expansions that come out between now and the time of its release. -

One of the important parts of my video was for me to not know a single thing about LOUIE LOUIE when I made it. I needed to keep my mind blank, which is where it normally is anyway. -
