  1. Congrats Kenny! Keep coming back, it works if you work it!
  2. Just like VSTs, 1 hour from an expert would never be enough. BTW, I'm no expert.

    AVID GOT SOLD

Um, maybe not perpetual only but you can still buy a new perpetual license Pro Tools Studio Perpetual And, since I was already in perpetual, when the chite hit the fan, they reverted back to offering perpetual licenses, they said all existing (under maintenance) are still perpetual.
  4. Oh, I should mention...... Installed!

    AVID GOT SOLD

That said, as long as my perpetual license remains valid I will continue with annual Maintenace fee of $199 or less. If maintenance fees rise too high, I may just freeze wherever I left off. ProTolls is like 3rd or 4th on my most used DAWs.

    AVID GOT SOLD

Agreed. ProTolls is probably not even 20% of all AVID products.
  8. I was about to buy a VST and then decided to double check if I already owned it. I did, so I emptied the cart and closed the browser. Does that make me a bad person?

AVID got sold? Now what will we do? Oh yeah, continue to make music on whatever DAW we choose. DOH!
  10. I can safely say no one wants to replicate my voice unless it's for an enhanced interrogation technique.
  11. Does Zildjian have a sample player on their website like Paiste does? BTW, I'll pass on that cymbal too (i.e. NOT Installed!)
  12. When they completed it did they say that the vst is in the can?
  13. Are they still arguing over writing credits? Too soon?
  14. Shrouded steeple should be staired
  15. If Studio One had not implemented their Arranger and Chord tracks when they did, Reaper would be my daily DAW for sure. I too will gladly fork over another license fee for v7.
  16. Thanks @Bajan Blue (Nigel). I had a comment in another forum about the cymbals/hats/OH being too much or possibly compressed. I'm left wondering if you hear this? "You've got some great tracks there. But it almost seems like there might be a little too much cymbal and high hat going on there. I don't know how you recorded all this, but if you used overheads I'd look at using a high pass filter all the way up to where it affects the lows of the snare but not the detail. I usually put a low pass filter on there to keep the highs from getting too swishy as well. Finally, watch out for what any compression might do to expand the cymbals in the mix. Room mics can also be a culprit with excess cymbals especially if they're compressed. Find a sweet spot in there, pull your overheads back until they disappear, then blend them back out until you have cymbals but they're not in front. I think you'll end up with a lot more clarity in your mix overall and your tracks will be able to really shine. "
  17. After that all my Native plugins required an update. And of course, install available on the Native Manley plugs.
  18. UAD-2 hardware owners: If you own the Manley VOXBOX Channel Strip or Manley Tube Preamp, you can download the native version today for free! Installed!
