  1. Yip .. so I am wondering, rather than upgrading an existing drive in a laptop, how about buying one of these and move all audio data / CW files to it PLUS run CW from there along with all other audio software.
  2. Just wondering .. Whats the actual point of a drive like this vs any other USB3 drive? Is it for running games directly off it OR data storage? And if running software off it would it be a solution for Audio Software?
  3. Good one BUT only for people in the USA and territories
  4. I just did a test file with Retro Keys on its own loaded into a track. Plays away fine while open. Saved it. Closed it. Then opened again ... CRASH. Def something up with the plugin and Cakewalk. I loaded Retro Keys into a track in REASON 11, saved, closed and opened again .. all fine Go Figure
  5. Yip ... its a great player plugin for IDEAS generation me thinks ( I have Reason Intro 11 BTW, got it at a great price as an MPC keyboard owner who had earlier reason bundled ). No brainer really
  6. Mmmmm ... Unfortunately it seems Retro Keys is crashing my Cakewalk when ever loading the file. If I go via safe mode ( Shift while click file in File / Open ) and dont load Retro Keys the file opens. While file is open I can reload Retro Keys into the track via replace and it works. But when saved and reopen it crashes. I also have reason rack plugin running on another track rerouting audio from Retro Keys track to that to make use of the Reason Arpeggio player. I also also just safe mode loaded w/o the reason rack plugin and Retro Keys on its own .. CRASH. Looks like the Retro Keys VST plugin is at issue?
  7. Excellent @ZincT .. I was nearly there. I was using the Reason Rack Plugin EFFECT vs the Reason Rack Plugin .. Thanking you
  8. Ok .. I CAN enable Midi Output but after that I am trying to figure out how to use a PLAYER ( the Arpeggio Player ) so as to control a VST added to a track in Cakewalk?? Anyone fancy a quick dummies guide on how to do this?
  9. Just bought, worth a punt at these prices. I have heard they are quiet good. You receive direct download links at the JRRSHOP after purchase ..
  10. What about earlier concerns these plugs are resource hogs and improperly coded?
  11. On foot of this I dumped them from my system. Not worth the hassle tbh.
  12. OK, I have to download the VST 64 versions also because REASON doesnt support VST3. Will do same check with those and report back Also @mibby if you never have, do try Malwarebytes, its free always to run a manual scan ( www.malwarebytes.com )
  13. False positive I would say. I far more trust MALWAREBYTES and that came up with no issues after scanning the zipfiles. As I said I just downloaded the VST3 versions only
  14. Downloaded VST3 versions .. all good and working in my BLCakewalk
  15. One could argue that the UVI synths Anthogogy has far more synths than Arturia .. that would be a reason to buy UVI also?
  16. Did you see it installs .DOTNET drivers from 2013 with it ( if you dont have them already ). Coincidentally after installing it my windows 10 started giving trouble with slow loads etc. I uninstalled it + Dotnets. Still not sure whether this was the cause
  17. If this is such a concern for you just plug your win/cakewalk system off the internet/wifi and if you need to update your software like Cakewalk do so via download drom another on line systems onto a USB Stick. Or at minimum have your system online for limited periods.
  18. I was reacting to "Noel has already publicly stated that they don't really test for win 7 any longer." and giving the reason why is all ..
  19. Thats the way it works unfortunately. Having a version of windows on your system that is no longer officially updated might not be a great idea .. especially if on the net. About the PRICE of 10. Its free and has been for a few years ( for owners of v7 and above ). Go here and either run the updater or download: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10 BUT backup what you have first just in case ..
  20. Where are the other 5 Freebies Interesting .. I am on there newsletter list but do not get emails about these freebies.
  21. Of course they are not going to concentrate any effort on Windows 7. As of Jan 14th 2020 Windows 7 is no longer supported by Microsoft ... Windows 7 will receive its last updates on that date. Then watch out for many other software companies no longer deving and supporting Windows 7
