Looking at some of the videos on Riffendium, they have put a lot of thought into it (from a guitarist point of view). There seems to be quite a bit of editing capabilities available which is very useful.

I've been using the full version Poweramp for about 8 years now and I really like it. One time purchase (IIRC under $5) and it sounds very good.
