Thanks Ed, I'll definitely check their PC's as well. I built my current DAW (back in 2013) using New Egg and just an automatic default go to.....now, it's all about the DEAL.

Ah ok... I'm also not a keyboard player, but it's easy to use some of the sequences that come with it (they're very musical) and then build a tune around that. Basically use it as an inspirational tool.

I was thinking of Lenovo Desktops as they seemed to be getting decent reviews, but then again can't really trust most reviews these days. Yeah it'll be taking a chance, but if the return policy is somewhat reasonable, I'm ok with that. Not expecting a whole lot out of these, but do want them to function without issues.

I have Synferno & Cinematrix. Both are fun to play with and sound very good. Great for creating backup tracks with lots of options to change/mangle the presets, and got them at a no brainer price from Audio Plugin Deals.

Currently working on a project that could use this, but Kontakt's Hammond B3 has turned out to be better than expected. If I was a 'keyboardist', I may have jumped in.....BassDaddy knows I ain't got no skilz.

Some of them even come with Win10 Pro. I might look into see if it can be a 2nd DAW machine for the children to use (so they won't be messing up my equipment in my little studio ).

I need one for just general use for my children's school work/research and I see some really nice deals on Newegg. I don't have any experience in buying anything refurbished and would like to know what your thoughts are on this?

Got this last night and just played with some of the preset patches. Have to say I'm very happy with what I heard and totally worth the upgrade!!

I was very impressed with the sounds/features of String Studio VS-3 and it looks like VA-3 is following the same line in quality. Having all their products, it shows $39 for me as well and don't think I can hold back on this GAS. Now if I can only figure out how to play the keyboard, I should be all set.
