Thank you for posting this! I didn't know this existed. Does it ever go on sale? No Indiginus Sounds (it's my folk fiddle of choice) nor Ilya Esimov's Russian strings (not a biggie). BUT, they DO have Ample Sound (big YAY on this), EW, Spitfire, and NI, as well as OT which you already mentioned. They even have a small free version for Cakewalk and Spitfire's Discover. This seems pretty nifty to me, but I can't figure out if I can add my own mappings for the libraries they don't current handle.

Maybe this is the hard way to get what you want, but I assign each instrument in the single instance of Konakt to its own MIDI channel. Then in each track I assign the particular instrument to Kontakt with the particular channel of interest.

After installing this I got my first ever bug/crash with Studio One. I heard a pop and then the Master volume was pegged at max red volume. No sound. I couldn't get the master volume unpegged no matter what I clicked/dragged. It was fix by saving and restarting Studio One. it's been fine since then.

Looks like these have been around a while. The blurb seems to indicate it is best to use a modern OS like Vista to fully utilize more memory in 64b systems. Also, the blurb states a requirement is the iLok Security Key (not supplied). Does anyone know if these work with the software version? Or is the USB licenser require? Thanks....

So this spurred me on to proceed with an iLok license and, sheesh! What a bunch of hoops and complications to get thru to get this to work. Go here and do this. Go there and do that. Go back here and... There seem to be better ways nowadays. But, if I want these, I'm gonna go ahead and do it. Now that I have the UVI workstation, what else do I use it for? I apologize, these are probably off topic.

I never understood why anyone would use this as a plugin. I just run it as a Windows Audio device outside of the DAW. That way EVERYTHING that comes out the speakers goes thru this first. No need to remember to turn in on/off during mixdown. Can someone tell me the advantage of using it as a plugin? I'm not getting it. Thx! For the OP, I suggest doing just that. Don't use it as a plugin.

I heard back from Ben and he said he couldn't get Cubase to include any automation in the XML export. He'll keep fooling with it, though. But I don't have much hope it will come to much. The MIDI export includes the various CC controls. That may be enough, I think.

This looks very interesting to me to help me learn more details of orchestral composing/ arranging / instrumentation. They include both MIDI and Cubase CPR project files. I use Studio One and, although maybe not necessary, I would like to look at the project files. Studio One can only read XML files from Cubase so I may have to load up the 30 day free unrestricted trial version of Cubase to convert the files (I'll use my spare/scrap laptop for this), unless someone here knows of an alternative method to do the conversion.

I don't have any direct experience with your particular problem, but when I use a MIDI controller in Finale I notice the delay is due to the sound output part of the process, not the MIDI input portion. So I'd focus on that. Have the sounds preloaded into RAM or put the sounds on an SSD drive. Things like that...
