Yes, the pricing is a bit steep. I bought it when it just came out and was offered with an insane discount. BTW, I wonder how drummers perceive drum libraries and virtual instruments. Which ones are great in your opinion?

SuperiorDrummer 3, but with SD2 default library Avatar.

Thank you, Peter! At first, I didn't realize that I had tendinitis, until only 10 minutes of playing started causing pains for days. This is the last track, I managed to record despite the pain. That's why it's so short. My doctor told me, that I should try massage, but eventually I might need a surgery. I did try massage, but it didn't really help. Then I got desperate and started shaking my hand as wild as I could. Guess what! Something clicked and I felt a relief. It still did hurt, maybe slightly more than before, but somehow it felt that all those little bones in the wrist clicked into their places. Now I just have to be careful not to overwork my left wrist when playing my guitar. I'm no doctor and have no clue how severe your injury is and what caused it, but hope you'll find my story at least inspiring. And thanks for leaving this comment! Really appreciate your opinion, because I know that it is based on years of experience. ?

This track was created with ISW Shreddage 3 Serpent library. Since many developers have announced their Guitar instruments/libraries summer sale, I decided to give it a try, using what I already got. Let me know what you think about it. Does it sound natural to you? Would you listen to this if you liked the tune, or would you rather look for real instrument performance?

I think it sounds great out of the box. Fed it this MIDI: Part.mid And this is what it renders: Telos (neck) Misirlou.opus Now, what can your god favorite guitar library do to compete with this?
-
Although, most of us already have lots of plugins, it's still a great bundle. Not only for beginners. And, since it's backed up by Nomad Factory, chances are they will eventually update it to VST3.
-
There are few gems in this bundle. Retro Equalizer is an instant "betterizer", Clarisonix is also highly praised. Basically, all effects in the bundle are high-quality.

Telos is too good to pass by. Purchased!

I think @Simeon Amburgey has got a natural talent for demoing stuff. Not only his demos are engaging, but he understands what viewers would like to see next and breaks it down in his unique entertaining yet educational manner. As for the library... It seems like for a keyboard player (who is also a guitar player) this definitely sounds like a guitar. For a guitar player, who is scarcely a keyboard player, it may sound like a ... synth. At least, that's how I perceive almost all official demos. I know that all samples are recorded with unique and rare instruments, state-of-the-art recording techniques, even by prominent players. My guess is that eventually samples are tamed and tailored to perfection and therefore lack (loose) that raw, genuine character we love in guitars. The only electric guitar library that sounds natural to me is Evolution Baritone Electric. Recent acoustic guitar libraries sound great, too. Decisions, decisions... FWIW, I like NI Session Guitarist libraries, but they also sound too perfect for my taste. -

Dang! I was going to slightly dip my toes in these waters and get only one lib. Now I'm tempted by the entire Evolution Bundle. -
I have always thought, that installer was a program. Nope. Feel enlightened. The truth has set me free. ?

Thanks for listening, Nigel!

Thanks, Nigel. I don't have a luxury to mix audio in a well treated room on great monitors. ATM, I use headphones and plugins to check my mixes, besides listening on a smartphone and/or a desktop guitar amp (Vox ADIO). Please, bear with me. ?? Appreciate your input, and thanks for listening!?

Thank you, Jack!

Thank you, Mark! ? Check out my latest track that I was able to record in just a couple of days. This would be absolutely unthinkable during the tendinitis period. ?

Thanks, Jack! ?

My recent work. Fresh, right from the oven. BandLab link Feel free to add your remarks. PS. If anyone knows how to embed tracks from BandLab, please, educate me!

This track was recorded in the 2021. My last work before tendinitis took over. BandLab link

Thanks for sharing your experience, folks! I've listened to all demos and was surprised how good does the Baritone sound! Vintage Gent is no slouch either. -

I'd like me a piece of advice! If I were to purchase just one guitar library, which one to pick? I'm not looking for anything genre-specific, but usual logic common for normal instruments does not really apply here. Normally, a Strat would be a do-it-all for me, but virtual instruments are not limited with body shapes, tuning stability, noise interference, fretwork, feel, you name it. One lib to rule them all. Which one is it? -
I have both (and then some). IME, VHS, dispite its misleading name, is a high quality plugin. I prefer it to Morphit in most cases. Not because "it sounds better", mind you. Rather, because it's even more CPU efficient compared to Morphit, and I can hear more details, minute nuances with VHS. As always, YMMV. Peace!

If you are not a Sonarworks user -- don't pass this by. This is extremely good headphone correction software.
