You're right! It's all about convenience. It's very inconvenient for the USA or Germany to supply Ukraine with MIGs from USA base in Germany because (sic!) both USA and Germany are NATO countries. However it is extremely convenient to do this from Poland, because it's not as much NATO country as other counties. Double standards and total BS at its finest. This move by iLok is nothing but stealing customers' money.

I was torn between PT100 and Buxom Betty. And while PT is an emulation of a tube amp that tries to be silicon semiconductor based that Betty shows no sign of silicon. I couldn't resist.

I've noticed that IK MixBus plugin doesn't draw GUI upon reloading saved projects. Shame, as I really like it's workflow and features.

Cool beans! I used to have Jupiter-8 back in the early 90s. It was fun, lots of interesting sounds which never proved to be useful to me, so I had to part with it. But I still have Roland PMA-5, and still think it's amazing for what it can do.

Makes sense. NI GR5 includes GR4 mode. Also, original Amplitube and Overloud models are still there. Digitech multi-fx (RIP) used to include a digital model of their 2101 tube-based rack preamp-processor. So, it's mostly up to original manufacturers/developers to offer such models in their next-gen modeller. But I can see why it's a good practice to avoid using older models in new hardware multi-fx units.

Also checked the Celestion Speaker Shaper. Great plugin. Very detailed and precise, yet, since it's on par with WoS and AT5, it brings nothing new to the table. I'd buy it was heavily discounted and if there were more speakers and mics available. Otherwise it's just another interface to what I already have. Yes, you get very creative with this and process your signal through 8x24 Neo Greenbacks. Just ain't the droids I'm looking for.

Not an instant "goodizer", but definitely a must-have plugin. Purchased without demoing. Can't go wrong at this price, right?

Indeed. My workaround is to record the real fretless bass, which is a lot easier than programming MIDI if the bass is well written and no rearranging is required. In all other cases I'd prefer a VI over the real thing.

I wouldn't say so. It used to be better than AT4 cab module, though. If you still have AT4 it's worth taking time to dial your perfect cabs in WoS plugin. With AT5 you're all set.

Maybe it's not relevant to metal and drop tuning players. I don't notice aliasing when playing riffs either, but can't stand that constant whooshing in the background when playing solos. Not familiar with that notorious KVR thingy.

Must admit that I'm genuinely impressed with the quality of these plugins. Last time I checked it was something absolutely useless called Bulldog or whatever. These (I've tried AHM and BlackSun) switch oversampling so seamlessly, I thought this functionality was not implemented. But it is. And it solves that dreaded aliasing problem, that plagues most high-gain amp models. Still not sure whether I really need yet another 5150 style ampsim, but heck, it's only $8 and bundled IRs are excellent!
