I've been running hard Jesse in order to keep up with your productivity. Quirky, creative and most definitely cool with interesting observations in each. I was knocked out by Something in the Water --- kind of a soulful, funky, Bluesy sound. Luv that guitar panned hard left.

I apologize for posting another song so quickly, but it was in me and had to come out. Accepting the conclusions of medical, research, and public health experts, I am a "stay at home" guy. The problem is that I have been watching too much TV (especially news). This little number is what resulted from this affliction. It is done up in bluesabilly style and is intended to be a bit rough and raw but not too biting. As always, comments, crit.'s, suggestions, etc. will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!! A beautiful, pleasant, calming song Bjorn. It almost has a Celtic lilt to it. BTW, your photography is very good.

I agree with Gary above. Your music does indeed make me smile. I was captured by the BGV (and sounds) that were faded in the background. Cool stuff Jesse!!!

Hey David. Thanks for taking time to listen to both songs. Time is indeed a conundrum. I very much appreciate your comments. Thank you. Hi Evan. You're right. Unfortunately, our time on this Earth is much too temporary for me. Thanks for listening and for your comments. You are not the first one to suggest that I put a bit more "energy" in my vocals on certain songs. Even my wife suggested that I have a Perry Como delivery on certain songs. I must admit that I always have liked Perry Como (please don't hold that against me). I would like to try different octaves or other keys but unfortunately I am limited by my geriatric baritone larynx. Thanks again.

Ahhh, now that I have adjusted Night Storm on Sea --- I have had a chance to re-work Time. My apologies for the delay in responding Hi Garyburn. Thanks very much for the comments and suggestions. I have boosted up the vocals and hopefully this helps. Hi Douglas. I agree with you. Time is a hard critter to figure out. I think, from our average human perception, time is perceived a bit differently than the ideas of Einstein and quantum mechanics. Thanks very much for you input and kind words. Hey Nigel. Thanks for responding. I appreciate your suggestion and the vocal has been increased. Thanks again. Hi Wookie. I love the quotes and sayings that you provided. They're great! Thanks very much for listening and your response. Hey Bjorn. I take out trash twice a week --- that must be why time passes by twice as fast for me??? ? Thanks very much for listening and for the kind comments. Hey Lynn. Wow, thank you very much. I really appreciate the kind words, and for the help and encouragement that you have always provided. BTW, I was really impressed by your last song posted - excellent. Hi tom. Ya, stay at home doesn't help - but- we have to do what we should do and what is best! Thanks very much for the listen and for the kind input. Hi Allan. Thanks Allan - your words are very much appreciated. I just got done responding to your latest post -- very impressive indeed!!! Hi Hidden Symmetry. The Doors -cool- if only I could do a decent job in playing the organ. ? Thanks very much for taking the time to listen and for the kind comments.

Hi Billy. Thanks for the kind comments. I am very familiar with the Wise Guyz and love their sound. I particularly like their live street performance (not sure where it occurred) on YouTube. I understand you sentiment that finding decent quality video is hard unless you have a big bankroll. Thanks very much for your offer. Of course I would be interested (especially if it were free). I will be tied up for a few days but will give you a PM when I'm done. Thanks again! Hi Paul. I am very glad that it brought back your bounce! Thank you very much for the kind words. They are very much appreciated. Cheers!!!

Really a beautiful song. The vocals are very well done indeed. This has a great commercial sound and sounds as if it should receive air play.
-
I love the sound on this one. I liked the vibrato in the beginning. This song has a nice edge to it, and a big and full sound. Really good stuff -- kept my attention throughout.

Hey Allan. It is a wee bit different but these are reflective times. Thanks for the kind words and encouragement. It means a lot coming from you. BTW, "... in the Freddy Cannon " ---- I love it! Thanks for taking the time to share the source Bjorn. I very much appreciate it! I'll give them a try. Trying to find clips that are of decent quality and don't cost a fortune is rather difficult. Like many of us, I do this for fun and not profit. Thanks again.

I too must join the "high praise from all". Excellent song, performance and some outstanding playing.
-
This is indeed a nice retrospective look back. I think that you covered the era well. The music matches the era and and your vocals sounded very good. I only have one problem. My media player quit on me. I'll have to come back later and listen.
-
Yup this one was very impressive. I echo the comments above. The drums are great, as is the sax, the arrangement great, but I really liked that bass that carried the song throughout. Most impressive indeed - excellent!!!
-
Love it Allan. The vocals were great as were the lyrics (a little biting with happy music -- cool)! The mix sound good also . Well done!!!
-
I don't know what part of the initial beginning (including starting vocal harmonies) reminded me of Brazil 66 - but it did? Another home run Nigel! Well done!
-
Beautiful sounding old school R & B sounding Blues song. The mix is crystal clear, instrumentation is great, and the presentation of the vocals is excellent. Love that harp.

Americana....long time sense I have been here

Very nice indeed. Great arrangement and performance (especially the vocals) -
Video added above.

I find it rather curious that although my wife and I are faithful followers of "stay at home" (as best we can) both she and I are finding that time is passing us by in a hurry and fading away. Being a curious chap, I checked with some friends and they have experienced the same phenomena. This brought me to the fickle topic of time (including relativity and quantum physics). Eliminating the two topics in brackets, I decided to come up with a song about the phenomena that my wife, some friends and I noticed about time. This is a bit different from most of the stuff that I post (e.g., more sedate). Anyway, I hope you enjoy it and any comments, suggestions, crit.'s, etc. will be much appreciated. Thanks. This is beautiful Wookiee! Pete Green's Fleetwood Mac was most definitely a Blues band. However, they put out one of the most beautiful guitar based instrumentals that I have ever heard (Albatross). Although different from what you posted, it does remind me of that song. I guess the Blues is more of a feeling or attitude rather than a fixed style encumbered by ridged rules. Excellent song Wookiee. The Furry Paws --- the paws pause that refreshes. ?

Lordy (I never met the Dude) SUPER totally REMIX xtended version

I missed your last post but now I'm happy. I got my Jesse song to which I did listen. Then ending was a surprise (luv it)!! -
I love each and every second of this. The concept is great and all performance by all was excellent. What a treat! I'll have to forward this to my cousins out in British Columbia. I'm sure that they will get a kick out of this.

Ahhh perfection. This is indeed a beautiful song -- vocal performance, lyrics/story, instrument and instrumental performance. Love that bass in the BGV's!
-
Well done Doug! I listened to both versions and enjoyed both. I am generally an old style Blues, R 'n R, rockabilly, jump Blues, etc. kind of guy. Being such - electric is what I enjoy most. However, I really like you acoustic version of this song. It just seemed to fit the title, lyrics, melody, and instrumentation like a good pair of gloves. Nice one indeed!

Hi Bjorn. Thanks for listening and your comments. I have received some good advice and I will be making some changes to the song soon. Then comes the task of the video. Do you have any good sources (free or paid) for video clips? Thanks again for the encouragement! Thank you Douglas. Hopefully, later this week I will be making corrections to this song. I definitely will try and bring up the kick on the drums and I am probably going to pan the guitar on the right a wee bit more to the right. I may tone down the delay just a bit depending on how it sounds once it is moved. Thanks again. Hi Daryl. Thanks for the kind words. I was surprised when I was looking for surf music on-line at how much new stuff (the last 10 to 15 years) has been produced. That pleased me as it is one of my new favourite genre. As a young guy in the '60's and '70's I was into SCUBA and not surfing. There is not much in the way of surfing waves on the Gulf of Mexico coast. Hey Lynn. You are right -- there is a link between surf and rockabilly instrumentals (maybe it has something to do with reverb and delay?) Do you still have that 1965 Strat and 1966 amp? It probably is worth some $ now. Thanks for taking the time to listen and comment!! BTW, great song that you recently posted. Hi Sabby. Thanks for taking the time to listen and I appreciate your comments. I will probably be making a couple of minor changes (above) but nothing dramatic. Thanks again!!!
