Great song and production! I love good horns, and this has them in spades. Joshua's voice rocks, and your collaboration works. Congrats!

Aside from the above suggestions, what I like about both versions is that you made them your own, rather than just being a carbon copy. This is a great song, and you have the voice for it! Stay with it!

Thanks Paul! I appreciate your time! Joshua, I can tell you really took time to hear this with such a detailed reply. Try as I might, I don't quite hear the issues you're talking about. It is something that I'll take into consideration when I get back to this song. It would help to know what you are listening through, I may have something similar. Thanks so much for your time and effort!

Fred, I would call this experimental blues. This seems to be an exercise in combining social commentary with a cutting edge Freddy J arrangement. I like the chord progression with the stabs of slightly dissonant horns. It's very effective in giving that edgy vibe you're going for. I feel that way, too. Your lyrics are pointed, and I'm sure they ask the same questions that most people are asking these days. I love this and can't wait until you are happy with the vocals (which already sound good). You've done your community a great service!

I'm getting a kick out of this video! I'm a geography nut, so this is right up my alley. Must have been a good trip!

You sure got what you wanted - a feeling of war and a battle for survival. Very apropos of the times, I'm sorry to say. Regardless, this is very moving and quite brilliant.

Philip, I made a lot of recordings like this back in the day, though, mine weren't always as interesting as this song is. It does have a lot of raw energy ( like a John Lennon demo), and that drew me in. Not crits on the mix, but a big thumbs up for the song!

I echo all the statements above. This is a song that I will revisit when I need a mood change. Well done!

I LOVE this! This song has a thematic, epic vibe that appeals to me. It's not overly orchestrated, but full with lots of dynamics which allows this song to breathe. The vocals are terrific and have enough space around them to stand out in a good way. This deserves a big audience!

Wow, good one, Steve! It has something that always attracts me - unpredictability. This should give someone a challenge, with all the tempo changes, but it all makes sense because you performed it so well. Your voice is very good, and in this tune it just shines. Overall, I get a Ben Folds vibe because of the clever arrangement and sophisticated melody that follows the ever-changing chord progression. A lot of thought went into this, and I hope you find the perfect partner.

Thanks, Fred, now I'm blushing But, I gotta tell ya, the level of talent around this place makes me want to try harder just to stay near the crew.

Thanks, Makke, for your detective work in finding this post from the past! This was a fun project from start to finish.

Sometimes I have to zoom out on the smaller clips to find the f/x, which remain invisible until magnified.

This is fresh and unexpected. You wrote a fabulous song and arranged it very cleverly. Your voice is great, and your processing of it is catchy. Count me as a fan!

Makke, this composition seems a bit "jazzier" than some, and I like the chord progression. That's a nice looking Tele-did you use it on this tune? If so, did it affect the songwriting? Just curious. Anyway, this song is another winner from you!

This is a delight! The video is very professional and the song is dynamic. I like the wide range of volume in this track, as it sounds less "canned", if you know what I mean. I'm a big fan of Evanescence, so this style is right up my alley. Best of luck to you all.

I hadn't heard this song in a long time, and it was a pleasure to hear your version. As far as the mix, all I'll say is that it could be a bit more nuanced dynamically speaking, but not much. The vocal sells this song, good job!

I'm a big fan of this song! This makes me want to come back to it because I feel there's something under the surface after the first listen. Overall, I love your vocal and guitar tone very much. You raised the bar.

Beautiful work of art! I like the sparseness of the arrangement which gives Elizabeth's voice to shine. The melody is lovely and haunting. Wow -

Good message! I like the apprehensive vibe and the uncertainty of it all. -
This is a very emotional piece, Wookie. I feel a sense of loss from this. Expertly done.

Philip, you nailed the friendliness part perfectly, this is a fun song! I love your voice and the way you treated it; it gives the song a very upbeat vibe. Good luck with this, as it deserves to be heard.
