Agreed Pigments is pretty unbeatable and has had so many free updates over the years. It also has an excellent sequencer and arpeggiator. Preset paralysis is a major problem. I like to start in Unify and use it's dice to come up with ideas (currently 77,508 presets to choose from).

Thanks @Fleer I'm just looking at what I would get if I upgrade from version 8. As far as I can find out, just looking at soft instruments (not expansions/preset packs).... New for VC9 was: Augmented STRINGS Augmented VOICES CS-80 V4 Korg MS-20 Piano V3 Prophet-5 V Prophet-VS V SQ80 V New for VCX was: MiniFreak V Acid V CP-70 V Augmented GRAND PIANO Augmented BRASS Augmented WOODWINDS Rebuilt: Mini V 4 Wurli V 3 Although I already have CS-80 V4 (can't recall how I go this - maybe a freebie?). Still, a pretty good deal for $99 (plus the preset packs/expansions included).

Oops, yes it was the UPGRADE price - 1st post corrected. For me that's from V Collection 8 to X. Same offer they did before. Tempted again... I also just noticed it says "Last Chance Offer" - does that mean V11 (or maybe XI) is imminent?

I just received an email from Arturia offering V-Collection X upgrade for $99 (same as previous low). So check your emails or accounts to see if you have a similar offer. I did a quick comparison this morning and SA3 and 4 were quite similar, but SA4 seemed a bit lower overall in cpu usage. For SA3 I got anywhere up to 9% and SA4 up to 5%. For reference, my PC is Ryzen 5800X based (8 core, 16 thread) with 32Gb RAM, all SSD storage.

Thank you 👍🏻 I also spent ages looking for the UVI Starter soundbank and gave up in the end. Mine was in that folder along with the Falcon Preset Tour. I have now copied them to my drive with all my other UFS files. By the way, I also found some soundbanks in this folder --> C:\Program Files\UltimateSoundBank\UVISoundBanks

I have some of them including Falcon plus 5 expansions, 4 of the collections, 5 of the Vintage Synths, Synth Anthology 4, World Suite 2, BeatBox Anthology 2, and 1 effect (SparkVerb), so I'm missing quite a few. So, not sure how they arrive at the upgrade cost. I mean $399 would be great for what you get but I don't need any of it and I can think of better ways to spend $399.

That is weird. If you right click on the sound bank (UVI Starter) and then click on "verify soundbank integrity" what doe sit say? Mine says "Your soundbank is valid".

I guess you guys are probably correct. I check for updates regularly but didn't see this UVI Workstation update until today (and anyway I usually use Falcon so not that bothered about Workstation updates). Some have also suggested that "something big" could be Beatbox Anthology 3. That would be good as I have BA2 so a nice price for an upgrade would be appreciated.

Working here Larry - have you tried double clicking on the Selected Kit from the browser? I did notice that AutoPlay doesn't auto play 🙄

Ah, yes you might well be correct. I also have BA2, so a cheap upgrade would be good.
