  1. Do they just destroy them? I hope not. They could mark them somehow and give them to schools for music programs. There has to be a way to make lemonade out of those lemons.
  2. I certainly have fallen in to ruts. I usually do mood lighting (like a lava lamp or a neat random screen saver of shapes and colors) and tune everything out. That usually helps. Other times, I force myself to work a little bit on something everyday and break through. Both approaches have helped me break through on occasion. Something I am talking about(mute sound of course):
  3. Somehow, we just got the rain in Atlanta. Ten inches of rain or there abouts. Luckily, we did NOT get the wind ...and that was extremely fortunate. We were going to go to Asheville this weekend, but they are in no shape for company. It is going to take some time for them to recover. Mother Nature can be a wicked one.
  4. Perry is an unprofessional idiot. People paid good money to see you and your voice is on the fritz AND you get tanked and want to fight. Though, good to see a senior citizen brawl! 😁
  5. So, I had a friend post that the whole Dave Grohl cheating on his wife deal really isn't that important in terms of her day to day life. She is still working a ton of hours and has stuff going on, like we all do. So while sad, it doesn't affect her life. I thought she was spot on, and I told her: Not your circus, Not your Monkey Wrench! (bad joke, but I laughed making it up - and not making light of his situation)
  6. Something I did that worked for me: I glued the foam panels to posterboard and with felt pads on the back. I used T pins to put them in drywall(where a dollop of paint would cover the wholes), and hung a few at varying heights from the ceiling. You could do something like that for your garage door that would make it easy to remove. Or even use velcro with adhesive to put on the posterboard and the garage door. Curious of the quality of what you have bought!
  7. You'll want the super heat sink with that!
  8. I didn't think you were, I just will say I actually PREFER amp sims these days compared to traditional amps. That said, I have been super fond of the Roland JC-40 lately though.
  9. I think if you can find inspirational sounds in the box, why is it any different than outside? If you(and by you I mean anyone) are going to constantly compare to "what you had" or "what you're used to", the only one "in the box" is you IMO. YMMV
  10. Amen. I occasionally like to play out, just to prove to myself (and sometimes others) I have the chops. But I don't have a desire to be an "entertainer" per say. I'd rather create at home by my lonesome.
  11. @57Gregy if you hover over the link, you'll see it is NOT samash.com - always hover over the link and you'll get the real address.
  12. It is for sure.
  13. Great video! I was overwhelmed by Kodi Lee's performance as well, and I believe it comes down being reminded that the gifts some may have are not visible, but yet amazing. We sometimes judge the book by it's cover, and then are shocked when we open the pages. We all do it at some point, and then we get reminded we should not judge that book by the cover. Kodi was allowed to use a Simon & Garfunkel song ( Bridge Over Troubled Waters) ....and they do NOT give permission very often at all, and it was amazing.
  14. That's awful.
  15. Some inventory may be sold off, but anything in the store (or at least the one near me) was marked down. You can't help it if someone only bought something @ 10% off versus 30% ...which happened lot at my store. But secret hack if you want a good deal (and you'd have to sign up for an account at Sam Ash): go on to the chat and ask about the item you want - they will give you a much better price. I did this with an item, and they gave me a substantial amount off. YMMV
  16. Unfortunately, I have credit with a chain that is going out of business. The biggest thing I think I'd like is MIDI keyboard ...so what works best Cakewalk/Sonar and possibly an DAW I may use. Basically meaning the most compatible with all DAWS. Polyphonic aftertouch seems like useful feature. But any feedback is appreciated. Also, what kind of "little" things for a studio might be a good grab? Thanks in advance.
  17. Danny Lopresto and this band do a great job of KISS tunes without the schtick. They are well done! @Rain
  18. As a recovered Kiss Acolyte, they really just took the lyrics in whole with some of the meoldy and totally redid it musically. It is fine on it's own, but didn't gve me the wow of Cash's Hurt. They are super talented folks, so I'm not knocking them.
  19. Being from South Jersey, I realize if I never heard of a place, it is most likely North Jersey
  20. @Sheens
  21. Sad to see this ...especially since one was across from my office. All the folks losing their income and other options for gear ...all around a bad situation.
  22. I was going to do it to already mastered material, not sync it in any form or fashion. Really just to get the feel of it and explore.
  23. Looking to mess around with video with my music. Also may do a funny video for my mom's birthday. Just wanted to dabble. Where do go? What do you use?
  24. I left in 1995, and while I'll never say NEVER, odds are infinitesimally low. The money I'd lose is profound going back there, and bluntly, not worth it for me. YMMV
  25. What town in NJ?
