Bought it to go with the rest of the HoRNet plug-ins I seldom use.

Think of it more in terms of, "But look how many plugins I have!"

  2. I've been working with Blender for a bit over a year.  It is, indeed, an amazing program that will do anything 3D you can imagine.  As @mettelus rightly notes, however, it can be overwhelming, but if you hunker down with the tuts and work with it a bit everyday you will make progress.  Plus, you will learn things you never imagined needing.  Boolean curves, anyone?

I have to say: Getting 360 was money well spent. The plugins are very good, can be used in the 360 GUI as modules or stand-alone, and new ones come in regularly. Kuassa is a very underrated company IMO.

Kuassa does make good stuff, and I'm glad to see them getting some recognition.   Plus, I always appreciate when folks on the forum offer their own thoughts on products because I know I'm getting an honest opinion.

    MONEY BASS For Kontakt!

One of the most iconic bass guitar riff and bass sound ever!

Does this bass sound familiar to you? No wonder, because almost everyone knows this song and its formative bass sound.

    Check out the demo:

The real strength of this Bass lies in its playability.

No machine-gun effect thanks to Multi-Round-Robin, 30 alternative samples per key!

This is how the bass cuts through your mix in a perfectly clean and authentic way.

I was also checking CPU usage in S1. What's the trick?

Go to the left side of the AT5 screen and, If you're using one amp, click the little arrow that let's you choose two amps, then click one again.  Reverse it if you're using two amps.  Your CPU will drop by 50%.

It is free compressor day.  I have this several times over but will take the free WUP'ing.

I hadn't thought of that.  Good idea.

Thinking about it, they may have actually developed a great mastering tool. After all, unlike iZotope, Landr have required people to upload their music to their site for mastering and they also have been releasing the music. This means, they might have some deep learning embedded into the tool that can tell what works (distribution stats tracking what gets the most plays) and what doesn't (my distribution stats, for instance).

With all the material uploaded to Landr, they will have had a huge archive for machine learning. I don't know if iZotope do this as their mastering is offline and not directly linked to distribution.

    Just a thought.

That's an interesting point.  About a year ago I tried a demo of their service and it sounded slightly better than the masters I do myself, but there was not enough difference to jump in with them.  However, if you're right I'd certainly be interested in trying them again.

Even the Waves people must eat. I'm not ashamed to say that I am a huge Waves fan, awaiting the next plugin, hopefully free again to Mercury 😁

I used to be a big fan as well.  I still have a ton of them, but when they did the subscription switcheroo I bailed.  I keep thinking I might get back in, but I guess I have enough residual fear that they might do it again that I can't quite pull the trigger.

I was just playing with Portatron yesteday. It's nothing that you can't do with samples and effects in a DAW, but the nostalgia factor is pretty high. I kind of miss my 4-track Portastudio. There's something about the hands-on simplicity that keeps your concentration focused. And this plugin replicates that really well.

Any instrument that ends in "tron" must, de facto, be cool!

If you switch you will not look back

Years ago I tried Reaper and  one thing I absolutely LOVED about it was the was tons of GUIs that are available.  when I demoed it I used the Abbey Road REDD console.  It made me feel like George Martin!  @satya definitely give Reaper a spin.  I think you'll love it.  BUT if you switch you still have to come back here and post deals!

Already using it. I have my studio in my very suboptimal living room. I'm not putting up ugly (or less ugly but still nothing to look at) soundproofing.

Your curve doesn't really look that bad compared to the one ARC showed for my room.  It sort of reminded me of the Swiss Alps on a sunny day.
