  1. After getting Nectar 3 and absolutely loving it, Tonal Balance had just hit my "wish list". I got so excited when I saw this post I almost peed my pants. Then I went to the Izotope page. ?
  2. Doubtful. I have never WUPPed myself, but have been eventually "upgrading" all along. It's been rocky for sure. But I must say, the latest version of the Waves Central now includes a bunch of the "helper" apps and fixes for legacy versions. So (knocks on wood) it has been going pretty well lately. Not sure when I last bought a Waves plugin though, but I have been grabbing their freebies...
  3. The ProChannel is so much more usable than the teensy Studio One representations. It's got SO beat there for sure.
  4. True, sort of. But just the stock ones. I use that feature on the VU Meter all the time. It's handy for gain staging...
  5. Ah yes. Got it! Was just going to update my post after finding a pic. Yeah, that could be handy to find things quickly. Something like ProChannel would be nice too...
  6. Hmmm... I'm having trouble visualizing this. It's been quite a while since I even looked a Sonar. Do you have a screen capture or something? I'm intrigued.

  8. Thank for all the replies guys! Still good info - thanks! @Gswitz That is too funny! ?? Thanks for the "syntorial.com" recommendation. Good to know. He is not a newb, just doesn't have an analog synth yet. He's an FL Studio guy and owns quite a few VI synths like Sylynth. But he has been getting interested in analog stuff. Awesome! After watching the videos posted, this is the one I've been thinking about so it's great to get a first-hand recommendation from an experienced synth guy! ? PM sent.
  9. Yep. If you like to fiddle with the colors it's great. I haven't played with it much since I installed it but it gives you more options. But I'm in the camp of liking the UI. I won't say "love it" because I'd like more options to be able tweak it. But I actively like the workflow and functions that SO gives me. What would I like in the new version? I'd like to see them give the Splitter some more "dev love". I'm not sure another DAW even has this capability, but it makes things like parallel processing, L/R channel processing and frequency splitting a snap.
  10. That's definitely worth checking out - although I must say I'm not big on the whole confusing IK universe right now. I wonder if I could use Jam Points on it?
  11. Thanks @synkrotron! As I said, he's got a controller, and I think a patch bay would be a plus, but not necessary. That's why I was wondering about the Berringer synths - Neutron and Crave... I really appreciate the info!
  12. Why? Exceptionally cost prohibitive I'm guessing?
  13. Yes, this is what I'm trying to figure out. Berringer is making some affordable ones like the Neutron and the Crave. Are they pure crap? https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/NeutronMod--behringer-neutron-semi-modular-analog-synth https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/CRAVE--behringer-crave-analog-synthesizer-with-sequencer
  14. Yup, I was hoping they might have some sort of hardware sale too. I'm a bit lost as well. Yes, that's what I was talking about. I was hoping there would be some sort of affordable "basic" unit that you could build around... Yeah, that's becoming rapidly apparent! Thanks for the info though.
  15. Briefly, my kid's b-day is coming up and is very interested in analog synthesizers. I did a quick search, and besides quickly realizing that I'm waaaaay out of my element here, I thought you guys might be able to point me in the right direction? Things I'm looking at: analog (he's got a keyboard controller) and perhaps a patchbay, and most of all, affordable! Like less than $200? Is that possible? The Euroack modular stuff looks interesting and does the Korg Mini. Berringer Neutron looks interesting too, but is it crap? As I said, I'm waaaaay out of my element here! TIA guys!
  16. I haven't seen a better "morphing" engine than Melda's. Pull up 4 different Reverb settings (or whatever plugin because of the modular design) and "morph" between them with an X-Y grid. It's in the "A/B" section. You can only "morph" between the 1st 4, that's A-D, but you can compare 8, A-H. It's pretty brilliant really. I was thinking about this reverb, but in fact, this reminds me that I really should be digging into all of those Melda plugins I own and all of the temporarily subscribed ones... ?
  17. Where's @Fleer? Hurry up and buy it and tell us how it you like it. ?
