  1. yay.. picked up Satriani as freebie.. now just need to ask.. has anyone seen any blurbs anywhere that state or claim that Fender Collections 1 has been updated for AT 5?
  2. this ^^ also, i just manage all settings from Focusrite utility. It seems up update settings in IKM and Cubase as well. But I never use low buffer settings for mixing. just for recording.
  3. hmm.. that doesnt seem right. i am fairly sure i can use the ASIO focusrite driver with it. i should check when back in studio.
  4. https://www.beatskillz.com/shop/retro-bundle/ Hey.. it's a retro bundle... what more is there to say .. "We wanted to pay homage to the sounds of the great soundtracks from the 80s from composers and tv series /movies such as John Carpenter, Harold Faltermeyer, Jan Hammer, Michael Jackson, Prince, Night Rider, The Terminator, Commando, e"
  5. oh no... those nice folks at NI are really wanting to get into my wallet for the next Komplete upgrade.. someone should do a meme.. "the power of NI compels you to open thy wallet"
  6. it could be. i recall it used to randomly crash on my old mac and interface. i have been using 24/48k on my new setup for a while now and no issues on windows. i usually flip to 256 or 512 buffer when mixing and mastering.
  7. where does one get a PA voucher? do they send them out to everyone or only peeps that bought something last month?
  8. Yup. AT 5 CS does not have the new amp engine. To get the new sounds.. you need at least SE.
  9. works on other stuff too. you can get the Abbey Road collection for $176
  10. I think its pretty good. I dont regret my purchase. But is a bit of a slow loader. FWIW.. I still switch back and forth between AT4 and AT 5. Depends on the project. The ability to drag and drop fx and cabs is pretty cool and handy when trying new sounds.
  11. that seems to make logical sense to me. other wise you will have a mass dumping on KVR of people reselling IKM stuff they got as freebies..
  12. hmm.. this group buy is getting slow.. at this rate.. it looks like next freebie will be thursday or friday..
  13. yeah.. I dont even have a *****ing studio. 99% of my house is taken up by my wife and kids. I get a tiny corner in a garage.. ?
  14. good stuff. i am holding out for something in the $199 tier.. and I am in..
  15. i am tempted by the arc w/ mic as well. the more i use tracks the more i like it. is it really of any use. my room is badly treated and i work around the inefficiencies... is this just a waste of money?
  16. i updated. i just used it to wrap up a project. no issues here. works fine.
  17. --- 1.1.12021-08-09What's new: Fixes possible crashes Fixes possible problem with Windows installation process General reliability improvements ----
  18. Well. I am throwing in Jim Keltner into the thread. I saw him live with Little Village (Ry Cooder and Nick Lowe in the band) a long time ago and he totally blew me away by what he was doing live. It sounded like there were two drummers on stage. He usually doesn't over play on records, but one of the most mesmerizing drummers I ever saw live. Cool interview withe guy
  19. i have none of the max bundles.. so i am all good with this GB.. just keep it rolling..
  20. I think it will get to 12k.. last year the combined GBs were over 10k..
  21. I don't remember what I was listening to in 1996. but looking at this list, my guess is i was probably listening to that first Sheryl Crow record as I was a big fan of David and David and always thought Ricketts production was real cool. https://digitaldreamdoor.com/pages/albums_by_year/albums_1996.html
  22. 1996 !! Top 5 singles.. what an awful year.. !! ? 1"Macarena (Bayside Boys Mix)"Los del Río 2"One Sweet Day"Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men 3"Because You Loved Me"Celine Dion 4"Nobody Knows"The Tony Rich Project 5"Always Be My Baby"Mariah Carey
  23. if it goes up to 20 for 1, i am gonna start looking at some of those ST drums. Big High Padgham fan.
  24. could you not but one IKM item from Sweet, and pickup another for free and register both with IKM to get in twice in on the GB at the $149 level? If you pickup SSSR and Complexoor, you get two serials.. right..
  25. I use Lurrsen. Its pretty good. One cool thing you can do with it is load it up, and look at what the chain and presets look like for different styles and then replicate that with other plugins if you want a different sort of color to it. Thats the great thing about the modern era.. you can steal other peoples ideas and style.. There was a jazz trumpeter a long time ago.. he refused to record and would cover his fingers with a napkin when he played live because he was too afraid others would steal his ideas and style.. and he would get no more work.. ? FWIW.. I got in on the GB with the $15 B&H tapes deal and am hoping to fill up on the rest of the Tracks stuff I don't own. Mostly EQs, compressors e.t.c. Now that I have figured out how to use Tracks properly (basically drive the inputs and control gain) , I think they give pretty good results for what they are. Basically, I am making demos at home and it will never be studio quality stuff. Any songs that do seem to pickup steam, we move the work to a real studio and engineer who has the gear and space. Seems to work well so far. But the IKM stuff is great for playing around with. I am not a real engineer and mostly musician.. so for me its lots of fun playing around with this stuff virtually. My wish list so far.. https://soundcloud.com/ikmultimedia/sets/treq73 https://soundcloud.com/ikmultimedia/sets/treq81 https://soundcloud.com/ikmultimedia/sets/tr5-dynamu https://soundcloud.com/ikmultimedia/sets/trcseqpa https://soundcloud.com/ikmultimedia/sets/trcseqpb https://soundcloud.com/ikmultimedia/sets/trcseqpg https://soundcloud.com/ikmultimedia/sets/trbuscomp https://soundcloud.com/ikmultimedia/sets/t-racks-compexxor-audio-demos You should check out the YT videos that Lurrsen did with his little studio buddy on how to use it properly. There is a longer one where he goes into detail and breaks down how to use in in a full song. its really good.
