And once you are in, you are stuck in quicksand. You can't get out. Fwiw. I have limited my investment into this GB at $15 . If this gets me the rest of AT and Tracks it was money well wasted.

Yes . I think is was 7000 participants for the 10 for 1. This is why I think this one will reach 25 for 1. IKM will extend it to end of Sept. IKM are a very crafty marketing company. They know stuff regular joe doesn't. Something tells me , they don't care how much they will give away in this 25 for 1 GB because they got something else up their sleave for you after the GB. Perhaps a carrot to make you want to cross grade to a new product they will launch in 2022.

Telecode wholeheartedly endorses this post. This is exactly how I got suckered into the IKM ecosystem back in 2019 or so. Now I am just in this one cherry picking AT and Tracks items. If this GB does get to 15 for 1, that will be great. I would have picked up most of Tracks5 Max and AT 5 Max for a fraction of a price.

I think 10 for 1. I may be wrong.
-
Sure. Good choice. Just remember to drive input and adjust output to compensate.

I am holding out to see if I need a second entry. I am mostly filling up my tracks modules I dont have. Neve and API emus . I really started using it a lot more lately. I find tracks great for my uses.
-
I got all the tapes. I use them all. Depends on the requirements. Depends how much color you want. There is currently a thread on GS on tapes. Worth it to check out. Lots of useful info in there as the IKM manual is a little skimpy on how to properly use them. Personally. I like the 99 and 80 the most for my uses. Many ok others prefer the 24 for transparency.

I think I gotta find some sort of mix and combine deal with jam points and gear credits to get a deal on modo
-
I agree with the above . I think it all depends how you use tracks. Do you need or care about the advanced settings or are you happy to have a little stripped down controls and be able to pile them up endlessly. I think If you try out some of the effects in syntronic, you will get an idea of how mixbox is.

The IKM is going strong.. wow
-
it does sound very different and IMO better than AT4.
-
i think it's their web setup. that company probably had tons of web traffic 24/7. they probably run some sort of web proxy and multiple web back ends.
-
these counters are funky.. or they are using some sort of web round robin proxy and the back ends are out of sync. i could have sworn, i saw 188 until next GB tier earlier today.
-
good!! i am count on my EQs.. getting all of them.
-
good one. i already had it. i really liked . I wish they gave away the H-delay
-
wicked.. mine goes to 11!!
-
i am sort of now doing my research to see if what EQ emulations I might want to get into. It's between Neve and API.. or get into compressor limiter collecting.. Neve vs SSL.
-
I got that with my interface. It's pretty cool. Can anyone comment.. is there any point on getting IKM Tracks British Console if you have this?
-
wow.. thats a pretty decent deal if you need or want the ARC and mic.
-
FWIW.. I am waiting for a MODO item that is in the $199 range to on sale somewhere for <= $99. I feel IKM are going to pull some slingers as the group buy continues to hook in some more sales before end of Sept. (based on my guess that they will extend the GB to Sept 30).

they have Orange amps at Long and McQuade.
-
A lot depends what sorts of tones you use. What I have found really useful in May collection is the emulation of the effects. Chorus and Kat tremble booster. Also, browsing through the presets of how the IKM guys made some of those sounds was a really learning experience for me. The combination of amps and placement of effects in the chain gave me lots of ideas that I never really considered before.
-
the May collection was a good buy. The treble booster is really useful. One of my most used now. I just finished testing Satriani. Lots of the usual stuff you would expect in that collection. But I find the rockman really cool. Nothing like it my tool chest. I have a feeling I will use it a lot. I posted a thing I just played around with on my SC page in case anyone curious.

It all depends what sound you go for. I use Leslie a lot.. but also Mesa, Orange and Fender 2.

FWIW.. I use both AT 4 and AT 5. I upgraded about a year ago. I find the GUI and usability in AT 5 was worth the upgrade. It also does sound very different and more "modern" (to me anyways) if thats what you are looking for.
