  1. ah well. i guess its sort of like NI and their vouchers. you can't use them on items that are on sale. only full priced items.
  2. if Modo Bass were to go on sale in 2020/2021 on its own, it might go down to 70%% off, right? so that would be around $50 or $60?
  3. I get the impression that Plini is much more popular than Nolly among guitar people that are into NeuralDSP level sims. I dont have it so can't comment. I tried the Cory Wong. I didn't think it was worth the price point.

    XLN RC-20

Not sure is deal, but the RC 20 is on sale for $67. Even less than at JRR shop. . https://www.xlnaudio.com/products/addictive_fx/effect/rc-20_retro_color
  5. I think their amp sims sound amazing. I am a guitar player and i can tell the difference. but to be honest, i usually notice that most pop, EDM and HH music these days has the guitar way down low in the mix and synths and drum machines way up. so i am not sure how much you will be able to notice. if you are into making guitar albums, i think Neural is the way to go for sure.
  6. Hi, so I demoed the 3 new Arturia FX last night. I tested them with electric guitar and compared the sounds i got with the new NI FX Choral and Phaser that I downloaded not that long any but hadn't had a chance to try them out. I also compared with whats in Amplitube and chorus in Fulltone collection and the JC-120. Not sure if this is a valid or correct way to demoing , but I sort of tested it out based on how i would mostly use these if i got them. To my ears, the Arturia effects have a very old school vintage retro sound. Sort of reminds me of sounds on old 70s records. It's defiantly unique and different than what you get in the chorus effects in the other products. NI's effects in comparison are much more modern and in your face sounding. Am still tinkering around with Arturai effects to see if I will get them or not.
  7. i agree. they are very high priced. I didnt know Neural do group buys. I guess I will hold out and see what happens.
  8. it says it ends it 3 days. so i guess end of day Monday EU time. IKM are Italian based, no? BTW.. I a pretty sure its going to hit the 1 for 3 tier. IKM will extend it for sure. If they are smart, they will include some new goodies to trigger more sales. (hint hint.. @Peter - IK Multimedia Some of us don't care much for Syntronick and Sampletank as we are over flowing with synths up the kazoo).
  9. the new modulations. the deal is get all FX + the stuff that got released.
  10. yeah, this is why i seem to think this seems like a really good deal for people that don't own any of the FX Collection. BTW.. what does cork sniferry mean? Snobby? Why do you think preamp VSTs are snobby? You think its something that would never get used? I saw some vids on their YT site. It looks appealing. Noob question. Can anyone comment, what would you normally use the different preamps, commpressions and filters on? A individual bus or master bus?
  11. the only thing this Reason 11 Lite is good for is, "if" Propeller head offer a killer upgrade deal one day. I think its daft to offer Reason 11 with the VST capability so potential customers can get an idea of how the rack works in other DAWs, but then strip out most of the synths and effects that were part of the earlier lite version. boggles the mind.
  12. i think this arturia deal just dropped a major road block on my group buy participation. Same price except that with group by I get to pick one thing I really want and 2 or 3 things I may not really want. The Arturia deal gets me 18 things of which 12 I really want.
  13. i downloaded and installed. installs and works fine side by side with Reaso 10 lite. but of course, the Europa and Thor are removed from Reason 11 lite.
  14. Wow. The FX collection + the new ones for $199. Good thing I didn't buy into the FX last year when they were releasing it. Arturia really want my money. Damn!
  15. if you install this, does it remove/overwrite your reason lite 10 or can you run them side be side?
  16. I might pickup the Modular Icons. I started reading the Bob Moog book and am all giggly about old modular. There are apparently Mark Isham patches in there. Curious to see how they are.
  17. looks interesting. anyone have any thoughts/opinions/comments of Shultz Audio stuff?
  18. i am in that boat. i only interested in MODO bass becuase it doesnt use that much space. the others use a ton.
  19. I like the XLN stuff. Has anyone every compared Addictive Drums with MODO Drums yet? Any thoughts?
  20. I fail to understand the discussion about price point for Komplete. Its probably the best bang for your buck when it comes to collections of VSTs you can get.
  21. has anyone been able to compare the JC-120 in Dimebag to the one from legendary colleciton? Any big enough difference to warrant the purchase?
  22. I am still sitting back and deciding here. I only demoed MODO Bass and Drums. The Bass sounds really amazing and impressed me a lot. The Drums is very cool but I am not sure I would want to use it instead of the NI Abbey Roads and Drum Labs that I have. @Peter - IK Multimedia I just feel there isn't enough on a selected. It would be cool if IKM threw something else in for those that don't want big librarires like SamlleTank and Syntronik. It would defiantly make the deal more appealing.
