  1. Instead of removing/redrawing preview images, I use automation lanes with aim assist enabled. For those who insist on avoiding automation lanes, audio scaling may help move the preview image out of the way.
  2. Yes, in envelope mode No, in offset mode See http://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Cakewalk&language=3&help=Automation.13.html
  3. When running in ASIO mode only one input/output driver may be used at a time. This is a requirement of the ASIO specification. In this case, to change drivers deselect both input and output driver settings then select a different driver. To use more than one driver requires changing driver mode from ASIO to something else.
  4. It also occasionally goes on sale like this If you want to buy it today - shop around (or ask for the best price in the deals forum below). There is no reason to pay retail. Even when it is not on sale, it is still discounted by some resellers (ex. use code Forum at jrrshop for almost $11 off).
  5. Implementation details would be up to Noel and crew. There are large format modules with smaller buttons. Could stack 1/2 size navigation buttons (like RTZ/Go to End buttons in the transport module) to make room for full size delete or overload the add button, left click to add, right click to delete or right click the menu for delete.
  6. The ability to maintain different plug-in sorts for the different lists was removed from SONAR in 2017. I do not have all versions installed but 2017-06 allows different lists, 2017-09 does not.
  7. OK. Thanks for the feedback. The is the cumulative effect of overlaying multiple clips. A clip outline is actually semi-transparent contrasting background. Stack up enough of them and they take over the PRV.
  8. Does deselecting "Show Clip Outlines" in the PRV View menu help? "A" in the image below points the View menu.
  9. Is this a MIDI or audio issue? If MIDI Is the MIDI driver mode set the same on Platinum and CbB
  10. If you are going to re-install and are comfortable editing the registry make sure to clean up the registry as part of the uninstall. Here is a post about it Although I would not perform a re-install preemptively unless I knew the install failed. Instead I would work with Noel first.
  11. May be project specific. Consider supplying the project and the steps used to support@cakewalk.com I just tested with a new project TTS-1 added as an instrument track Copied a MIDI clip into the track Opened the Event List view Clicked on the first event in the Event List view Then stepped through with CTRL+ALT SPACEBAR Did not matter if left or right CTRL+ALT was used
  12. It does alter signal somewhat, not unlike the other cabinets bundled with the plug-in and different IRs do sound different. At least that is my experience stepping through the IRs bundled with the plug-in. But don't expect all that much. I doubt it will ever be the case that dropping a single IR into a plug-in is ever going to deliver killer tones by itself.
  13. Maybe a focus issue, try clicking in the Event List before stepping with CTRL+ALT SPACEBAR (works the same in X3 and Platinum). BTW, don't know about others but I like to see a link to the source when quoting something like the help. In this case, I found the quote in the OP here
  14. Here is the thing about most Overload products that have an IR player like TH3. The IR files must be imported into the plug-in's database before they show up. This is different than most other products that simply load IR files directly from the HD. Double-click the IR Cabinet then click the "Import New IR" button to add IRs to the TH3 IR database The process is described on page 22 of the TH3 manual.
  15. The screen image is too small to be useful. Please avoid uploading full screen images, the forum resizes them. Instead post just the appropriate dialogs when uploading images. For full screen shots and larger images use an image hosting service (I use http://imgur.com) and embed the link in your posts. These are all included with CbB. In fact, these should have been overwritten during CbB install assuming both Platinum and CbB are 64bit and CbB was installed after Platinum. May want to run a VST reset from preferences. The path for the PC modules is not listed in preferences but is silently added to the scan path. The path is visible in the Plug-in Manager. By default, the PC path is C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Shared Utilities\Internal. May want to verify the path is correct by checking it in the Plug-in Manager VST configuration options. There also may be an issue with old templates. Are you using template supplied with CbB or custom templates built with SONAR? If the latter considering recreating them in CbB.
  16. The tools have been completely rewritten. All have font support, light and dark styles. Upsample Editor now supports in table edits. VST Inventory has selectable columns. Old Launchpad users make sure to copy "CbB Tools.exe" into the old Launchpad folder. Others may copy the "CbB Tools.exe" where ever they like such as "C:\Program Files\CbB Tools" I will leave the old versions available as the new ones no longer support 32bit SONAR. I added font size selection to a few of my CbB/SONAR utilities. There are updated versions of Launchpad - an alternative to the start screen Plug-in Upsample Editor - a tool to manage upsample data in Aud.ini Tools Editor - a program to manage the tools section of the Utility menu available here along with a few other CbB/SONAR related things. The utilities are about half way down the page. As always, if there are questions or issues with anything on the page just let me know. For best performance, whitelist the "CbB Tools.exe" process in your antivirus software. Inventory Tool really benefits from whitelisting. 17. This is true preference settings along with directory junctions can relocate quite a bit of the application and data. I got the impression from the OP that they were trying to keep Platinum and CbB entirely separate. This goes well beyond preference settings. Even if one were able to have completely separate installations, the way SONAR and CbB use the registry mean some items will be shared regardless of where and how many copies are installed. Moreover, there are fixes to the shared items in CbB that benefit Platinum and older versions of SONAR as well.
  18. There is a 50MB per-user quota on image uploads. The forum resizes uploaded images to save space. Users should not upload full screen images. They are almost unreadable after being resized. Smaller images containing the necessary details would be better. Better still, to avoid the quota and image resizing entirely embed links to images. For this, I created an account http://imgur.com Linked images are displayed full size like this
  19. It is included in CbB. See the bottom of the this page for the included PC modules. One thing about the PC76 U-Type Channel Compressor and PC4K SType Bus Compressor is they are some of the first modules released. As a result, they support an old PC design that has designed slots for each PC module type. IOW, when one of these compressors in the the ProChannel the other may not be added. In fact, it will not appear in the Add PC menu. It does show up in the Replace PC module though. Both should be listed in the Add PC module menu if neither is already in the ProChannel.
  20. Noel is using Melodyne Studio. It is very likely Editor does not have all the options available in the multi-track version. I bought Studio when Melodyne 4 was released so I have no idea what the menus look like in Editor.
  21. CbB installs like an upgrade to Platinum (because it is an upgrade). The program, content and user directories are specific to CbB just like Platinum. For example, after installing c:\Program Files\Cakewalk will have both Platinum and Cakewalk Core folders. CbB updates the vst scanner, plug-in manager, PC modules and other files in the shared folders. All Cakewalk DAWs use the same shared folders.
  22. If the options are disabled, it means there are existing registry entries possibly from a previous SONAR installation. All Cakewalk DAWs use the same shared folders and Cakewalk Content folder.
  23. Sometimes Cakewalk gets beat detection wrong. As you have already found out, it is easy to fix in the Loop Construction View or the Groove Clip section in the Clip Inspector..
