The "N4 repository path" ? There may be a hack to do so but according to https://acusticaudio.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/35000109347-how-to-install-n4-and-libraries-through-aquarius

An older version of the QuadCurve EQ was detected.

Uninstall is on this menu Once CbB is uninstalled, the Open button will change to Install -
There are CAL scripts included for a few chords. The scripts are in plain text and the chords scripts are pretty easy to read. Creating new chord scripts is not too bad. Although using CAL is a little clunky. Chordz is a free tool to map cords onto single notes.

If safe-mode does not help may want to get BandLab to diagnose the problem. Here is how to report a crash
-
Try safe-mode and see if the problem is plug-in related. To open a project in safe mode, hold the SHIFT key while opening it. This will allow adding plug-ins one at a time.
-
As I mentioned above, it is not a full kit. According to the XLN site, it contains the Fairfax Vol. 1 Adpak kick, snare, hihat and crash. If you buy full kits, there are templates and a map for CbB at https://www.cakewalk.com/Support/Knowledge-Base/2007013364/Setting-up-a-Drum-Map-for-Addictive-Drums-2-in-SONAR AD2 has a very powerful map tool built-in. The "Map Windows" is loaded from the ? in the upper-right of the plug-in UI. Not sure if this is available in the demo.

They are the same. Screensets are stored in the project file/template. I was confusing them with mix scenes which are stored in a separate folder.
-
As I mentioned above all the views that work with multiple tracks have a track selection method in the view. Instead of changing the track and going to the maximized view, go to the maximized view and select the track.

XLN Audio install and activate their products using a proprietary installer. For installation and activation the PC must be connected to the internet. AFAIK, nothing runs in the background. Once installed and activated there is no requirement to be connected to the internet. The bundles are various collections of their ADPaks, MIDIPaks and Kit Pieces. Look at the details of the individual "paks" for what they contain. IIRC, the demo contains a small set of drums that are free to use and demo versions of the different ADPaks available. Try the demo.

Confused about the Synth Rack and proper synth management

The tabs have tooltips. Swapping out the PRV elements is not that hard but if you prefer not to mess with the theme editor all my themes have the old Platinum (light) PRV background. I am not sure what background others have but there are a bunch of themes modified for 2020.04 in https://discuss.cakewalk.com/index.php?/forum/31-ui-themes/

All tabs had the text replaced with images in 2020.04 and just the way the OP wanted All 4 tabs are the same size. This is what the Inspector looks like starting in 2020.04. If they are not the same size then change to a factory theme or make sure the custom theme is updated according to the post linked above. It is hard to imagine how this change affects new users either way as they have no experience with previous versions.

No, geometry is also preserved if the multidock or view is floated. Screensets may be imported from another project or instead of using a project template always start projects from an empty project with the screensets already setup.
-
Here is a quick video opening the PRV, SHIFT+D to maximize the view, selecting the Track View again then clicking the PRV tab in the multidock to restore the maximized PRV.
-
Look at screensets and workspaces. Screensets are stored in the project folder. Workspaces are global. Both may be used to keep screen layouts including maximized views across sessions.
-
Instead of closing the view just collapse it or leave all multidock views maximized and use Alt+1 to retrieve the Track view and click on the mutlidock tabs to see different maximized views. Views that work on specific tracks have a method to select tracks in the view.
-
Two useful shortcuts for views in the Multidock are Expand/collapse MultiDock D Maximize/restore MultiDock SHIFT+D from http://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Cakewalk&language=3&help=KeyboardShortcuts.html#1306347

Another option is this user created MFX That said, volume and clip gain automation on the audio side may be the most transparent.

If you quote his post he will get a notice about the thread -
Part of what freezing does is bypass a frozen track's FX rack. Normally unfreezing a track enables the FX rack. Right-click in the FX rack for the context menu to manually toggle "Bypass FX Rack" This may be used to enable the FX rack of a frozen track.

Confused about the Synth Rack and proper synth management
scook replied to Dave G's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
To elaborate on a couple of these 2. There is one entry for every plug-in instance in the project that can receive MIDI data. This includes all synths and effects that have "Enable MIDI Input" turned on. This option is in the VST2/3 drop down in the standard header above every plug-in UI. 3. A synth requires at least one MIDI track and one audio track. An instrument track is a simplified presentation a synth's MIDI track input and audio track output. If a synth has just a MIDI track output pointed to it, the synth needs an audio track added to the project with the track input set to the synth. "Make Instrument Track" is an option in the track header context menu. There are several hot spots in the track header for opening this menu including the small track icon to the left of the track name in the track view. 4. The original way in SONAR to add synths to projects was using an audio FX rack. This feature is still supported but is intended for synths that operate on audio data such as vocoders. Synths without audio inputs should not be added to FX racks. "Replace Synth" is a couple of choices down from "Make Instrument Track" on the track header context menu."
