Highly sophisticated well trained Fight Club . Kenny -
Oh Boy ! ...what a thread ..... T Racks throttles the extra headroom on my machines into the Red ...I play Blues ,Rock and Jazz ...I don't need to be louder than a Heavy Metal Band . Thankfully the Lurssen does not do that over here ... That KRV dude may be hitting the bong super hard if that is happening to him .... With IK I have taken a Rag Tag approach on buying their products ...If it goes on sale and if I think I want ( need ) it I will buy it ... Yeah I bought some Artist and Amp collections ...they are nice ...but as people say ..it don't win me any Jam points or better upgrade pricing ... I haven't done the group buys ,So when I want to buy something ...IK may think I'm gonna pay full price if its not on sale ... Forgetaboutit ...I was fresh off the boat 30 years ago . Need help from Midi Gurus: 1/4" out to MIDI converter?
kennywtelejazz replied to Billy86's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
thanks for the mention abacab ! The synth guitar solo at : 46 is all Jam Origin Midi Guitar .............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................. One of my most current Midi Guitar Playing example s . On Milo my jazz playing was all single notes at 1 : 17 so I decided to use Melodyne Essentials to convert my audio over to Midi ... This took a fair bit of time editing out the glitches in the Piano Roll ...but hey I like what I did as far as my melodic content goes ... On the Cadenza ( 1 : 56 ) I just double up on a few synths ... Kenny -
Need help from Midi Gurus: 1/4" out to MIDI converter?
kennywtelejazz replied to Billy86's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
I haven't signed in for a couple of days and I wound up in this thread w out even knowing it .... As far as my situation goes using Midi guitar ....I started in 1983 ...w hardware and I personally prefer Jam Origins Midi Guitar plugin these days ... Here's two audio to midi conversions I did a while back ..Both performances are of Joe Pass playing unaccompanied Jazz Guitar . https://www.soundclick.com/music/songInfo.cfm?songID=13548515 https://www.soundclick.com/music/songInfo.cfm?songID=13311064 both of my clips are non edited in any way , shape , or form ...so all the warts have been left in .....for educational purposes On the second clip i have the unedited midi performance on the left side of the stereo field and Joe Pass's guitar performance of All The Things You Are on the right side ...( Left side synth AAS Strum Session ) To really be able to hear the conversion headphones would be best while listening to that clip....even though there is a clam fest going on in places you will notice the Midi Guitar plug kept up w Joe and held its own ? .................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................... Melodyne Conversion Of Bass Analog bass part converted to midi in SONAR Splat using the ARA integration Midi bass one side of the stereo field Analog other side of the stereo field https://www.soundclick.com/music/songInfo.cfm?songID=13308818 I'm only posting these to let you know it can be done ... As far as strumming chords ..no current Midi Guitar app of any sort has climbed to the top of that Mountain to my knowledge . Having said that I hope you get something out of the clips ... Kenny, PS all my music features me playing guitar synth ...? -

The groove was pretty much set in the B T ...this sure was a fun one to play over , thanks for the listen . Thank you ! I'm glad you enjoyed the track and playing , all the best, Thanks David , Every week Twanger Central hosts a thread where a BT is posted and people play over it .. The quality of the individual submissions are all over the Map . Anyway , I used to post the Links for the BT's when I did a Twanger Central ..not to many folks seemed to care so I stopped posting the links I got the backing track from here ...https://www.tdpri.com/threads/backing-track-challenge-278-funk.1056904/ hope that helps Kenny

Hi noynekker , The acoustic was already there when I went to play over this track and I went through great lengths to pick and choose my guitar sounds to be complementary ... I'm glad that you picked up on one of my most cherished guitar playing assets ...Touch ! To me touch and feel is everything ...it dictates the tone and phrasing ... thank you for giving this song a listen . Hi Gary , Yeah it's that time of year and there's stuff I'm playing catch up with ...like my own song thread lol I'm glad you got the chance to listen to this one ...thanks Hi Tim , I know ...it's crazy out there ..... There are times when I just want to play simple and not flashy .. I guess I'm using Music to self medicate and provide myself the feelings I would like to feel as opposed to what the world is trying to throw at me I'm glad you came back and gave this one a listen ..thanks for the kind word Hi Nigel , thank you very much I appreciate hearing those words coming from you Hi Lynn , Yes I have put out a few in the past couple of months ...feels good ...thank you so much for the kind word, support and encouragement . all the best, Kenny

Hi Nigel ! Wow your song and video was great . The visuals help make the song more powerful message wise and on the other side of the coin the music helped make the visuals more powerful ..real synergy at work here ... Real nice mix , dug the vocals and i loved when they would double up and do harmony ... This Music of yours sounds very natural and organic . all the best, Kenny

Thank you Nigel ! I appreciate it . Kenny

Hi Wookiee , With all this crazy stuff going on socially in the world I grabbed my new pooch and we are hunkered down ..Just when I think it's gonna get better and it's safe for us to come out .. The News informs me that somebody turned The Fan back on high speed and flung some more doo-doo at it with a industrial grade doo-doo cannon ... Yes , I can say Milo is the best thing to happen to me in a long time ....thank you for listening to my tune ..and having something nice to say about it ...it means a lot . Hi Reece , thank you very much ... Hi Dave thanks man . Hi Freddy , I'm glad you liked my playing on Milo ! most of my time playing around my place is kicking back playing softly while watching TV or sitting at my computer .... For me it is a real treat to just get off my can and record something ...I'm always happy when my playing reaches another guitar player all the best. Kenny

This song has a very Retro Classic Indie Vibe going for it ...This type of musical genre seems to be in style with some of the younger musicians these day s .. What's old is new again ...I hear and see tunes like this on TV and other entertainment platforms . Good stuff man , I love Riff Rock and Riff Rock Guitars ....you did a good job on those ... The tune it self ( instrumentally ) reminds me of a couple of different bands VIA some of the song sections / arrangement ... The way your vocals float over the top of the song certainly gives it your own individual sound ... This one is good listen for sure ... all the best , Kenny
-
It is great that you can express yourself in this way ....Let the chips fall where they may ....Oh , I did enjoy this song listen ... I sure hope that poor little darling gets her act together ...reminds me of someone I know and it is hitting pretty close to home ? all the best, Kenny
-
I do play Harp so it was nice to hear some Harmonica ...I enjoy the sound and I find it grounds me when I hear it ... Overall the parts were recorded well ....I guess I'm more used to hearing a live club type of sound on material along these line ... The Mix seemed a little hot for me . Other than that ...good job !.... all the best, Kenny
-
Whoa ! I just woke up the whole side of my apt complex by accident when the song kicked in after the soft intro .. Yeah I'll be seeing some stink eye from some of my neighbors tomorrow ? I enjoyed the tune and production ...Yeah , this is so different than what I do ...I can appreciate what went into it. all the best, Kenny

Love the sound and tone of your clean wet guitars on this song ...this was a pleasant listen , Kenny
-
