If people do have a copy of Ozone 5 (I do) it’s probably been used to upgrade to 6 then 7, then 8 or similar (like I have). That means you can’t sell 5 because its part of your current Ozone licence.

I didn’t really ask a question. Reason being that I’ve bought and installed SL6 after upgrading my SL 4 to 5 at Magix then 5 to 6 at Steinberg. Just sharing my experience as someone else asked the question about the need for proof of having the qualifying version for a legit upgrade. If Steinberg ask me to retroactively provide proof I can do so.

I’m only speculating. I had said “I’d say it checks during installation........“ i wasn’t asked for details of an earlier purchase or serial number. My reasoning is that I can’t imagine Steinberg allowing you to get away with an illegitimate upgrade if your entitlement wasn’t checked somehow. Even if only in the background during installation. I’d be interested in knowing, if anyone was able to install the upgrade without a previous version already installed.

No I didn’t. Just selected upgrade as my version. I’d say it checks during installation for a previous version.

I can drive again. Pacemaker has made all the difference to life. I finally feel the benefits of my surgery, now 4 months ago. Yay.
