Issue with MIDI edits not being saved

Must be some weird combination of VSTs and VSTis that's causing it, since it has never happened except in this song. -
Issue with MIDI edits not being saved

In the PRV. -
At first I thought I just forgot, but now I'm sure that when I edit a MIDI drum track, save the project, exit and go back in and the changes are not there anymore. Very frustrating! Has anyone experienced this and found a workaround? Thanks, Timbo

That's an excellent recording! Not to mention the playing. Would like to have been in the room to feel the power of a live band, I don't get to do that anymore. Tim

Thanks for listening everyone, I thought it wouldn't get any more plays and disappear into the other side. Hearing a circus carousel sent my brain down the track of writing these particular lyrics - the music came later but it sort of wrote itself. I'd love to know what you mean by different but familiar! Rock Cover of Gary Numan's 80s Synth Classic Cars - Improved and Remixed
timboalogo replied to PavlovsCat's topic in Songs
I really enjoyed this one Peter. This is a song that I've loved since it came out and you've done a great cover. With today's vocal processing, your voice sounds fine! It was a good idea to go up when you sang "cars", it drew me into the song. Mix-wise I really liked your drumming, but wasn't entirely happy with the sound, particularly the kick. Was this a close-mic'd kit? Or electronic? I did like the ending, if that was what you were referring to as a change, since I didn't hear the original mix. Thanks for sharing! Timbo -
This sci - fi song came to me one day. https://on.soundcloud.com/RHPrpCDgJgQyfbxM7

jack, This was one of your better melodies and sounds. Plus the cool stuff you put in (like at :40, 1:24) and the total mash up at 2:47 ... really pulls the listener into the mix. The flute melody is beautiful but I found the cymbal overpowering in that part. A great ending too!

Wow, never heard of synthesizer V before, it looks and sounds amazing! Tim

Digging the groove, Glenn. Fun background vox and a great Frank-like solo! I really like the lyrics too. How did you do the bass and who sang the background vox? Tim

Cakewalk Stays In Memory After Exit / Cannot Re-Launch
timboalogo replied to Adam Grossman's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
Late to the party but I get it when I close Cakewalk while a sampler is still loading samples from disk. Guaranteed. -
OK, I have a paid version of X3. I'm worried that they're going to charge a lot (I'm good with a $99 one time license) and and doubly worried that they're charging folks to basically beta test the new version. I've never heard of that before. In my reading of the posts, that's what I've picked up on. Maybe I'm mistaken, Jonesey. Thanks folks!

This is probably a dumb question but does anyone know if there was a version of CbB that didn't have to call home to be activated? I'm guessing that there weren't any such versions, but if so, where can I find it? I don't think I'm going to move to the new Sonar, so far it seems that it's just GUI changes and why should I pay for those. So I'm looking for the most updated (since X3) version that will be free for forever. Thanks, Timbo

Dumb question and not trying to derail here but can I open CbB files with Sonar X3?
-
Glad you enjoyed Jack and Old Joad! Rock on.

Certainly like when it all hits at 1:28, and I'm a sucker for wah, you know! And I really enjoyed the ending, well done! Timbo

jack, this song is a time machine taking me way, way back. Loved what you did with the drums and your voice.

This is terrific! Loved the horns ...

Hi folks, In the last year I started struggling with lyric ideas. Finally, it dawned on me to write some material based on aspects of artificial intelligence and it's effect on humanity. It's provided me with a few new songs. This song is different than the music I usually do - it's a song with a funny story. Please enjoy. Hopefully it brings a smile or two to some faces out there. Timbo PS Made the song image by going to a free AI image-generating site and asking it to make an image based on "robot radiant pearl" ...

Recording the VSTi keyboard's midi
timboalogo replied to timboalogo's topic in Instruments & Effects
I wonder how the system let me do that?! -
Tough one for me to explain. If I'm using SI - String Section's keyboard, can I record the midi that I'm playing with my mouse? Thanks, Timbo
