Why EOL though? Maybe end-of-sale. It will work fine and you're free to use it for the foreseeable future. As for transparency, let's say they announced, together with the $50 sale for SSS1, that SSS2 was coming (not that many companies, if any, do that). How would you be better off than you are now?
-
What am I missing? If you bought SSS1 cheap ($50), you can get SSS2, if you want, for the same total amount that a new buyer would pay. That's better than most upgrade deals I'm currently aware of for my plugins (i.e. it would cost me more, total, to upgrade to bundles from the plugins I own - most of them bought during sales - than if I were a first-time buyer just getting the bundles now). Not to mention that you get to use SSS1 and decide if/when to upgrade, while the rest of us have to decide between parting with $120, or stick to using the Drumkit from Hell on bossa novas ?

My rapidly filling up hard drive gave me the finger, my RAM won't talk to me anymore, I don't even drink coffee, but I bit.

Mine is $749 but for Production Suite + Komplete Ultimate. I guess that's a good deal? Then again, I could wait a few more days and buy a nice house in Russia for less.
-
That's alright, I decided to skip this. Buying software to edit videos I haven't yet shot for songs I haven't yet finished can't be that urgent. At least with plugins I can put them on a 30 second stem and feel, stupidly, like I'm on to something.
-
That was the point of the question, to eliminate the guesswork. And it's not $11, it's $21 for a new buyer.

So if getting this for the TotalFX, wouldn't it be a better deal to just buy a 12-month subscription to Movie Studio Platinum? That's $48 and also comes with TotalFX. Maybe someone can confirm that the TotalFX licence would be (still) be permanent in this case?

Absolutely; I have other nice spring reverbs, but I've been waiting for a good sale on this ever since I demo-ed it a while back. The acoustic feedback plugin is quite interesting as well.
-
This has been available for quite some time. In fact, the value pack itself has been on sale in the past.
-
Given the deal, I demo-ed this... wanting to like it. Nope. For whatever reason, I just don't jell with Softube amp sims, no matter what I do. As for Amp Room, to my ears, AT5 is a superior package, top to bottom. It's good to read that it works for some people though.

The Force must be stronger in your $25 voucher than in my $25 voucher. Or your math is a bit off ?

It's the Deep Solo Viola library (Studio Quartet Series). Not sure why they added the 'emotional' tag. Maybe it's a Christmas edition with a single preset you can't change - sustain vibrato with a lush reverb.

Are the included plugins regular VST's? So one can use them in any DAW?
-
Just give it some time - as long as the order has been processed and we have our serial number, it's not like we're losing out on a temporary freebie. They'll sort it out.

Maybe he is fixing it manually so that you can't log in anymore, for all the complaining ? Seriously though, I also only see the 2 rar's.

I heard of this theory, I think it was a famous politician, that if you stop looking for viruses, maybe they won't be there? So you could just disable Bitdefender for 5 minutes and whatever it found might actually be gone. Worst case scenario, if your computer does get infected, you could simply inject some disinfectant into the RAM, I hear that might work, too.

CHIP magazine is so awesome that I love it without even reading it.

About $18 for me. I'm not familiar with Molot, but I used and like the free Kotelnikov, so there was that. Maybe I'd bite if PB had an interesting freebie to go with it. First world problems, for sure. I have this annoying habit of not going from the beginning for bundles that I like and want. Then I gradually pick up the individual plugins from those bundles, during sales, to end up at or near the full bundle ...only having spent 10x the time chasing deals, ordering and activating plugins, without having saved any $. Tokyo Dawn, Soundtoys, Eventide, Arturia, Black Rooster, Izotope, I'm sure there's more. Just plain stupid. ??
-
That was my feeling as well. The only no-brainer deals that I came across are still online at audiodeluxe - the Tokyo Dawn comp/eq and the Exponential Audio reverbs.

I find it appropriate that this thread sits right under the one on stuff we shouldn't have bought.

PlugInGuru: Unify $69 / 51% off all libraries (excluding Planet Pluck)

Thanks, that did the trick! I played around with it a bit. I don't love the interface, but it sure seems quite powerful, and the limited samples/presets in the demo sound great. It also feels a bit scary - like something that you'd have to learn to adjust to, instead of figuring out an easy/quick way to integrate it into your workflow. -

Tried installing the demo. Reaper doesn't 'see' the plugin. I'm too lazy to investigate.
