Yeah, getting Voodoo and Retro for sure, some pianos, also Deep (I have Phat, which I like, and I demo-ed Hot, I liked that one as well). I like Dandy, but I think Royal 2 is more versatile. I've been using Mellow for a long time, it's been my favorite plugin from them. I'll get the UFX's, they're good. Speaking of the deal, they're also on AudioDeluxe. A few $ more, but with two potentially interesting freebies to choose from.

I'm kind of in between you guys. I spent much of yesterday demoing a bunch of their plugins (on top of the ones I already have) to put together a shopping list. I like some, dislike others, like the GUIs in general, but I just find them, sonically, to be such a mixed bag. I dislike the virtual guitars. The virtual drummers are better, even though cymbals are, more often than not, pretty terrible. Still, worth the (low) price, same as with some Beatmakers. I like some basses (love Mellow, like Royal/Dandy). I'll get Score/Vibe, just for playability and inspiration. As a guitarist, I LOVE the idea of the finishers, they've always intrigued me, as I just love multi-effects. I would get all of them in an instant, but I wish the actual effects were of higher quality. I was demoing them yesterday against alternatives I have/use, and for similar effect chains, even MixBox is just so much cleaner and more transparent, it's really noticeable. I'm still puzzled why IK discontinued it. So I might get some finishers just for inspiration, even though I'd probably replace them on tracks.

What did they fix? I have Reverb v1, I think I picked it up as a freebie, but v2 shows as a separate/paid product for me, not as a free upgrade. They fixed your free upgrade from v1 to v2? Or you had v2 all along?

Sounds like it. Maybe now there is a time limit for registering the code. The bonus one month CC+ access that I got with a purchase on audiodeluxe came with a 'This License is valid for 60 Days, make sure you register right away.' warning, so perhaps there's something similar for the one year deal. It would be nice if someone could confirm.
-
That's good to know, thanks for asking. How are they doing that in practice though? I mean, I get it if you buy it from them, but from resellers? You buy it at jrrshop and with the activation key, they send you an email saying 'please add the license quickly to your EW account or create one if needed, the subscription is LIVE' ? 😄
-
It's more a matter of comfort for me, I guess. I have a few annual subs that I pay for even if I don't use them much over longer periods of time. I like the convenience, but that also means I chase the best deals since I assume a multi-year commitment. I would find it quite annoying, at the end of the first year, to have projects with CC+ inputs, and worry about the new subscription rate, or bouncing everything while I chase a new deal. First world problems, I know.
-
If the sub renews at the price 'at the time of renewal', it's really a sale for 1 year, not an annual subscription sale, so same as previously (also around $99 for one year) . Still a good deal, just not a wow deal 🙂
-
This is quite tempting, I have a couple of questions though, maybe someone bought it and knows the answers: 1. Is this renewing? It's the annual subscription? Or 1 year and done? At jrrshop they mention 'annual subscription' and there's no mention of it NOT renewing, as it was common during previous sales. It would be very tempting if it renewed at the same rate. 2. Is there a timeframe within which it has to be activated after purchase? Or maybe someone can confirm it stacking with existing access? I bought something on Audio Deluxe and got one month of CC+ as a free bonus, so it would be good if I could just tag it onto that. Cheers 🍻

Liquidsonics Black Friday/Cyberweek sale ends today...glad I remembered.

We're in the deals section. God knows how many discounts we benefitted from here which were probably not used as planned/expected by plugin makers. Leaks, glitches, and whatnot. So I don't think that matters much. But yeah, other than that, you are right (I used to pay for that particular subscription service). -

I'm not sure it worked together with the loyalty codes. But it wasn't a loyalty code, just a generic discount code, yet worked on top of their sale prices. How do you like Illusion? -

They sure make some nice reverbs. I bought Tai Chi Lite; I was hoping for a 30% extra discount code to appear, like it did last year (when I bought Reverberate 3), to get the full version, but it didn't, so I chickened out. -
Read the thread thinking I might get XO. Leaving having bought Atlas instead 😅 Atlas is, by the way, also on sale, for $49, until September 9th.

Gig Performer not available through Plugin Alliance anymore (Not a Deal)
fitzroy replied to Walter Cruz's topic in Deals
Okay, good news! PA got back to me. For the activation to work you have to use PA's installers. Deskview's don't seem to work, even those posted above for the PA Edition. PA sent me links to the installers, here they are: Gig Performer 4 https://files.plugin-alliance.com/products/legacy/gig_performer_4_mac_4_5_8.zip https://files.plugin-alliance.com/products/legacy/gig_performer_4_win_4_5_8.zip Gig Performer 3 https://files.plugin-alliance.com/products/legacy/gig_performer_3_mac_3_8_1.zip https://files.plugin-alliance.com/products/legacy/gig_performer_3_win_3_8_1.zip I installed GP 4 and activated it without issues. They moved to a different server. They have info about it on the site, stating the info on licenses on the previous server has not been lost. But when creating an account on the new server with my old email, I don't see any of my stuff. I emailed them (well, Per?) and no reply yet. -

Yup, it doesn't work either online or offline. I wrote to them to ask for the download links (before antler posted them), and they were kind enough to reply with links. I wrote back to ask about the activation issues. What's worrying in their initial reply was this: "The Gig Performer PA edition no longer exists". Baffling. However their relationship with Deskview ended, I don't get why we wouldn't be able to use (and that includes reinstall/activate if we have to) the version of the software that we bought. If that's the case, I'm done with PA for good. I was pretty lucky so far with being able to move licenses around, and now suddenly this, on top of Sampletekk (another place where your licenses just disappear into thin air). -

Wow, awesome, thanks so much! 🍻 Successfully installed, but can't activate it just yet, as PA's device activation/deactivation service seems to be offline. Or maybe I missed out on another glitch that everyone else knows already 😅 -

Does anyone have a working installer for the PA unlocked edition of Gig Performer 4? I had to do a complete system rebuild a few months ago and I just realized I can't install GP; PA no longer hosts the installer, and on Deskview's own download section, their version (including 4.5.8, which I believe is the last one under the PA license) requires activation via email + serial. -
I'm in if they do deliver license keys so we can skip the transfer fee. But I'm not sure past practices with PA_EXT plugins are completely reassuring on the latter.

If it's FX Collection 2 you're after and the region block is in the way, you can find it cheaper on KVR. I just missed out on buying FX Collection 4 for 50 EUR there, and you can find Collection 2 for less.

Anyone managed to demo their new rig libraries? They don't show up in my list of rigs available to demo in TH-U. Not sure if this is a bug or a new feature ?
-
Come on TDR, if the limiter can go this low, I bet Nova can, too ?
-
I tried hard to keep it under control: - Melda's MTremoloMB and MSoundFactory LE (based on opinions here and elsewhere, though I kind of have my doubts about this one, especially if I won't be able to use the drum samples with it; I hope I'm wrong) - Liquidsonics Reverberate 3 (I demo-ed Tai Chi and love it, but just can't afford it right now, as I'd like the full version) - Tonex SE (long time coming) and a $3 so-so tone pack - One of the 8dio Soundpaint saxophones Still to come: - grudgingly, but I think I'll get an Ilok key; my old OS drive died and it's a hassle to recover some of the licenses (cough, Exponential Audio <- first and foremost, Air Music, Sonivox) - I should have waited with one of the JRR purchases to pick up the Inspirata Lite freebie, which I want; hopefully I'll find something cheap but useful to get it - same as above for Pluginboutique, as I want the Dawesome Love
-
Try them out, they (well, Ray? I'm not sure anyone else is involved) have a generous demo policy - 14 days without restrictions. Personally, I think all the preamps/compressors are absolutely top-notch. The channel strip at this price is a Hornet level steal. I LOVE the F-59, I think it's a hidden gem. The spring reverb is interesting/nice with its own character. I demo-ed the plate reverb but didn't think it stood out next to the other ones I have/use (Arturia, Soundtoys, PSP).

Most are $30 to $60

Tempting. Does anyone know if this unlocks the stuff it comes with (e.g. unlimited downloads for tone models) for the iOS version as well?
