If you had bothered to take a look at the little booklet that was in the box with your Focusrite when you opened it (aka: Getting Started Guide ) you would have seen that step 2 is download and install the software. Yes. Sorry if this sounds harsh, but if you had followed the instructions you wouldn't be having this problem

That's not a Cakewalk problem, its user error.

Cakewalk is Windows only. You should also give your thread a title that gives people some clue as to what it might be about. More likely to get results that way.

Awesome! Great mix. I thought the vocals were just right. FYI: for those not familiar with the genre common in metal the guitars tend to be the main focus and the vocals are usually further down in the mix surrounded by the rest of it, instead of riding on top. They're just another melodic - or depending on subgenre - rhythmic element. Exceptions mainly being bands with an absolutely stellar vocalist like Rob Halford or Bruce Dickinson.

If you import the file back into Cakewalk and play it, how does it sound? "pro Audio Technica headphones" doesn't mean that they are accurate.
