  1. The same way any electrical device can only draw just as much amperage as needed to operate it and no more, your computer can only use just as much RAM as needed for what it is doing and no more.
  2. I play guitar left-handed and quite frankly I think that flipping the fretboard diagram, whether you're doing a top to bottom or end for end, is a stupid idea. It is a well-established idea to have fretboard diagrams drawn out as if you are a right-handed player looking down over the top of the fretboard. I personally think it would make more sense to have the fretboard diagram oriented as if you're looking at another (right handed) guitarist across from you, but the convention is otherwise When you go against established conventions like this, you introduce confusion. It's like if you wanted to write from right to left because you liked it that way better. You're only going to cause problems for everybody. Even if you only do it for yourself and your own personal use, you're still going to cause confusion for yourself when you go to look at other people's stuff when they're doing it the conventional way.
  3. This wouldn't be covered in the documentation by any chance, would it?
  4. I'm not superstitious at all. I believe its bad luck to be superstitious.
  5. #31 When they said "flexible hours" and "unlimited earning potential."
  6. Terrible advice. I won't say ASIO4ALL is garbage because I get in trouble every time I do but it is a bandaid at best.
  7. Like John pointed out nearly a year ago, a real audio interface would solve this.

Doesn't matter. Its there and its selected as an input device.
  9. There is a setting to automatically put your edit points at a zero crossing.

That absolutely is one of your issues. I told you how to fix this once and for all.

  13. You have to adapt your playing for guitar MIDI to work. If you try to play like a rock guitarist, you won't get good results.

  15. This isn't a problem with Cakewalk. It is user error.
  16. UWP is a MIDI driver mode. Has nothing to do with audio. Bingo. You need to get rid of that pesky Steinberg generic ASIO driver. That is your problem right there.
  17. Yes. The fix is to ditch them and move on. They are 32 bit abandonware.
  18. It might be helpful to know what interface you're using.
  19. Perhaps iZotope RX can do it but even with extensive work, the results may still be less than perfect. It will probably be easier to have it redone. I wouldn't be hesitant at all to just tell the person that the track is unusable and please redo it without recording the metronome. I would also want to send a rough stereo mix - even of a mockup - to play along with. THIS IS MY OPINION AND MY OPINION ONLY: Even if you can, telling your talent "don't worry, I can fix it" only encourages continued sloppiness.
