This seems to be a default Windows thing. Software makers can alter this if they choose but apparently most prefer to use the default. Here's some chatter about it.

Panu started Duckbar as a standalone utility to enhance Sonar functionally and graphically when X1 came out and was a work in progress until SPlat changed some of it's coding making some elements unusable. It's EXE Color and graphic file replacer functions were largely taken over by the new Theme Editor, tho Duckbar covered far more areas than TE. Duckbar was all but dead when CbB arrived. He started to revive it but has been so busy otherwise that it still remains in development. It's unclear if and when it will resurface. I want to record controller data for notes already on a track. But recording them from an Impact LX88+ doesn't work. (Similar to this thread) Output sound is an outboard synth. 1. Set MIDI track input to LX88+ channel Omni or ch 1 2. Arm track to record CC1 modulation controllers 3. Hit record & record controllers in real time using the LX88+ mod wheel >>>Sound is muted??? Can't hear the notes being played<<< 3. Modulation controllers are recorded but affected notes are now white and silent 4. Play track but no sound is heard from the white notes where new modulation controllers were recorded >>>No tracks or take lanes are muted<<< 6. Undo all the above work and start over 7. Manually add CC1 modulation controllers on channel 3. (track midi channel) 8. All is good Edit: Record was set to Comping. Should have been SoS!

Yeah, it actually affects all controllers that carry the length of the song. I've updated my post to reflect that.

CC controllers that carry the full length of a project will graphically disappear when scrolling toward the middle of the screen. Even when zoomed all the way out. When zoomed in to edit controllers or notes, these controllers disappear completely when scrolling past the middle of a 4 minute clip.

Feature Request: Display position text when working in the Controller Pane area. Currently the line remains but the text disappears.

As I Understand It: You're much be better off reversing that formula. Record @96 and mix @48 or even 44. You're not gaining anything mixing at a higher rate than your recording. All you'd be doing is making a huge file for no reason. You won't hear any audio nuances much above 48 anyway. It's not so much WhatYouHear but how much head room the original signal has to capture finer details. Higher resolution rates afford recorded sound that headroom. Also allows any effects/processing more headroom to work in. Once you've applied any processing to the audio, like "bouncing" it (destructive editing), you're safe to down sample to a playable resolution. Since most players don't support over 48, and probably never will, it makes little sense to mix to it.

Cool! @chuckebaby, ultrawides basically add extra width to the height of a 'standard' monitor. To maintain proper height to width ratio, the standard 1980x1080 becomes 2560x1080.

Try running it @2560 X 1080 (or biggest 1080 setting) with 100% scaling.

Yeah, it was always float-able, tho I've always had to stretch it downward to get the scroll bar to show.

Hold the cursor anywhere over the volume slider and drag left to (-) and right to (+). Double click to return to default (70%). For Pan & Tune drag cursor up to move right and down to move left.

Thanks SK. I find with a little tweaking here and there, SI plugins are very usable. The drum volumes take a little getting use to but little I could do about that. Do tell more as my themes shouldn't be affecting anything but appearance.

Top meter simply shows how full your HDD is. You might consider getting a 2nd HDD for your projects & sample sets. Bottom meter shows how much RAM is being used. You might consider increasing it if it's 8gb's or less.

Which meters are you looking at? The left vertical meter is CPU usage. The upper horizontal meter shows project HDD space used - a mirror of what's displayed in "This PC". If you open a project stored on a different HDD, the meter will change to reflect that HDD. The HDD icon lights up when the project is reading/accessing the HDD. More than I care to think. Cake made these too easy to have fun with tho there were some limitations. The .cwres files are really .ini files you can open with Notepad.
