  1. Really nice track Mark! Audio production sounds excellent!

If I could suggest one thing it would be maybe drop the level of the hi hat slightly. Other than that tiny thing I think it's excellent!

Fantastic production and Killer ferformance !   I think you milked each instrument for all they were capable of keeping with the theme and feel of the song.  I'm sure it's going to be a Steller album.

It's always a "pleasure" to watch Larry's drumming. Looks like he's talking to them telling them to "get ready" I'm fixing to smack you.

Highly impressive         Loved it ..  mark

Thanks so much Mark! I'm hoping that the album will be a step up from my previous ones!

Regarding Larry, he's worked with me on three of my albums (this will be his fourth) and he is one of the best drummers that I've had the pleasure of working with.

  3. I've just completed the latest track from my upcoming album. It's the title track (Full Circle). This has a Pink Floyd influence but I have tried to make it my own. I pushed the latest version of Sonar fairly hard with this track and I can say that it performed flawlessly. Track count was around 50 plus various vst synths and vst effects (reverbs, compression, delay, modulation etc). No glitches whatsoever. I'm very happy with the DAW. I know that some users have experienced problems but thankfully it's been rock solid for me.

The songwriting was a team effort between myself and my good friend Alan Petersen. Alan and I played in a band together when we were still at school (many years ago).

He now lives in London, we reconnected and he expressed an interest in getting involved with the writing and some of the playing on this album. Hence the title.

The track also features my other good friend, Larry Rose on drums.

What everyone else said!   I like the smooth kind of distortion sound from the guitar.  Recording to video to see you two at work is a real treat.   What DAW is that on the screens?

    Thanks for your comments Michael!

    The DAW is Cakewalk Sonar.

What a pleasure to hear! Fabulous professional track, beautifully played and produced. Incredible!

I’ve been away from these forums for a long time - I’d love to get involved again and post a song or two of my own.

    Thanks for the comments, Marshall!

    Never too late to start!

Sounds great here! (although I still can't hear your cymbals; top end in my ears is failing...)

Tokai LP into the Kemper? That's your signal chain; right?

    👍's 👏

Thanks Tom! Sorry to hear about your hearing!

This time it's my Gibson into the Kemper.

  7. Hi everyone,

Just finished the latest track and video. The song is called Poles Apart and part of the inspiration came from the new Steinberg free vst soft synth X-Stream. Lots of incredible sounds. If you haven't tried it yet I'd recommend downloading. It's completely free.

It formed the basis of most of the keyboard sounds in this track.
