Purchased the Syntronik Deluxe upgrade in the Custom Shop for 100 GC. Pleasantly surprised to discover: "Your Syntronik Deluxe upgrade (USB/boxed) purchase allows you to redeem bonus content from this dropdown list, valued at $/€129.99 or less!" That basically adds the following as options over the $99.99 tier: AmpliTube Leslie Comprexxor T-RackS Leslie Stealth Limiter Dyna-Mu Master EQ 432

If you’re not getting vouchers, just spend $50 in a year. These sales are a good time to get in. Then just be patient and pick up one plugin each month for $15 or $25 after voucher. The best time though would be when they have sales and the $20 no minimum vouchers.

Last night, I bought 300 GC for $225 - 67 JamPoints for $158. Bought AmpliTube 5 in the Custom Shop for 200 GC. Picked up the freebies: MixBox, SampleTron 2, Sunset Sound Studio Reverb, and Comprexxor so far. Will probably be using 100 GC for another GB. I have AmpliTube collections from previous GB, so only have four left to get them all. Have SampleTank MAX from a hardware bundle special so I have the new sound libraries (Electromagnetik, Cinekinetic) to pick up. Have T-RackS 5. Not sure about collecting everything in T-RackS MAX. Probably just going to pick and choose.

Here's a good post on the KVR Audio Buy & Sell Forum: “How to Maximize the Value of the IK Multimedia Group Buy” https://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=8187676&sid=89dd75e7ad627c6f9f41d9d3985a6940#p8187676 It provides specific recommendations. "So, here's what I think you should do. Option 1 is for new customers, while Option 2 is for existing IK customers. Options 3 and 4 are bigger and better possibilities for either existing or new customers." It even links to a spreadsheet that's more complete than the one I had created. Check it out.

You can pick up MixBox Crossgrade for $149.99 after coupon MIXB50 of $50 is auto applied. Can't use JamPoints, though. You'll get into the group buy at the $199.99 tier.

I created a spreadsheet of all the products in the group buy. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/e/2PACX-1vQJOiit3wKhbyN87OdguckZzYDo_xz3PYDM2fanVWsyiDCXGzB3Ys3iWYhsDRiTog8fX3G3CYAJPVKA/pub?gid=0&single=true&output=csv Load it into a spreadsheet app like Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or Apple Numbers (it's saved as a CSV file). Turn on filtering on the first row. I found it useful to be able to filter based on category and price (yes, I rounded up), exclude the ones I already have, and plan out my purchases and freebie picks (and prioritize them). Here's what it looks like for me: I hope others can make use of it. Edit: Updated spreadsheet. Fixed price/category for AmpliTube SVX 2 (was upgrade price).

What’s a “Plugged-In Member”?

Thanks for the heads up. This also means that the iOS version is also on sale. I just purchased it from the iOS App Store for $9.99 (usually $19.99). Collecting Nembrini amps (so far, I have Sound Master, Acoustic Voice, and Voice DC30) is a lot cheaper on iOS. I’m mainly interested in using them live and not for recording so that works for me (though I suppose if using it for recording, I could use Cubasis or IDAM).

Double dip … two promotions with the same purchase.
-
That’s not what I was asking. By buying ARC with mic, it seems that you’ll get T-RackS Deluxe free in addition to getting in on the group buy. That’s a way to get TR5 Deluxe without spending $300.
-
https://www.ikmultimedia.com/news/?id=TRackSMixOnTheMove2021 ARC System 3 - $/€249.99 - Free T-RackS 5 Deluxe ARC System 3 crossgrade - $/€149.99 - Free T-RackS 5 Deluxe So, since this promo is still going on, would one be able to double dip--get T-RackS 5 Deluxe *and* get credit for the group buy? Edit: https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/ARC3Up--ik-multimedia-arc3-with-mems-microphone-crossgrade-from-any-ik-multimedia-product-worth-99-or-more-boxed Sure seems that way, looking at the Sweetwater listing.

Yes, each one would unlock different modules so you would end up with the union of the two. I had T-RackS 3 Deluxe and then updated with just T-RackS 5, so I got the new modules that were added to T-RackS 5. If there are enough freebies, I may get 5 SE, though I may be satiated by MixBox. I’ve made a lot of use of Lurssen, but T-RackS not so much (I’ve collected a lot of PA plugins that cover the same ground). The T-RackS Black 76 and White 2A in 5 SE are well regarded emulations.
-
You could get some hardware that has AT5SE bundled like the iRig HD 2. Wouldn’t qualify for GB though. That was my plan before the GB started.

ARC w/mic shows as $249.99 without crossgrade. If you buy direct from IK, it'll be $149.99 for you, and give you in at the $149.99 tier.
-
If you already qualify for crossgrade prices, then you can just purchase at the $199.99 tier directly (AmpliTube, SampleTank, etc.). ARC was the only qualifying product that I saw at the $199.99 price, without crossgrade.
-
Great idea, though new folks probably wouldn't have any JamPoints. Remind me about the downsides ... was it that you can't transfer software purchased via gear credits (for those ever thinking of reselling)?
-
I'm thinking that the first purchase unlocks the crossgrade pricing for the freebies as well, but this would need to be verified. Then you're still spending $99.99 + $199.99 ... though getting 2x freebies. If the first $199.99 qualifies one for the crossgrade freebies, then no need for the first $99.99. So, some brave soul can try it, or the IK rep can weigh in.
-
You can get Syntronik Deluxe as an upgrade from Syntronik, but of course, it would use up a freebie. You can get Miroslav Philharmonik 2 CE. If you're serious about orchestral instruments, I think there are better options out there than the full Miroslav.
-
Yes, that's what I was getting at ... except, wouldn't the first purchase unlock the $199.99 tier? So, my thought is for the first timers to jump in directly with $199.99 (which I can see could be ARC System 3 - software only).
-
For those new to IK and have never purchased anything before, the price points for the big items like AmpliTube, SampleTank, MixBox, Syntronik, MODO DRUM, and MODO BASS are $299.99. However, once you purchase over $99.99, then you get crossgrade pricing, which is $199.99 for those same items. So, if you're looking to get one of those, buy something that's $199.99, then I believe that makes all those $299.99 items available as $199.99 freebies. At least that's what makes sense to me. Correct me if I'm wrong.

If you don't know the differences between amps (like me, two years ago), I would get the collections to cover the major brands, each of which has its own sound. * Fender 2, Fender: low gain, Fender clean, Fender stomps * MESA/Boogie: high gain, but I like the TA-30 which can do Vox tones * Orange: crunch, high gain, also a bass amp For the other collections: * Joe Satriani: Rockman, Marshall, Peavey (released last year) * Brian May: Vox, stomps (released last year) * Slash: Marshall (updated 2018) * Jimi Hendrix: (released 2008) Fender, Marshall amps but are older so the newer collections/amps will be better, quality-wise * Leslie: I wish I got the T-Racks version instead so I could use it as effects for other virtual instruments Generally, the newer the release, the better the amp sim quality. I'll be picking up the ones I don't have depending on how many freebies we end up getting, starting with Satriani, then May, then Slash. Find out what gear the groups you like is using: https://equipboard.com/. You might see a pattern. For music from the 60s and 70s, it's Fender, Vox, and Marshall.

Good to know. Is NKS supported on non-NI keyboards? That is, can one update a keyboard to match the NKS mapping? I have an IK iRig Keys I/O 49.

Here are some reviews: https://www.musictech.net/reviews/software-instruments/brainworx-bx_oberhausen/ “MT Choice Award 9/10” https://www.strongmocha.com/2019/04/11/bx_oberhausen-by-brainworx/ “Rating: Five out of five stars” https://www.gearjunkies.com/2019/04/review-brainworx-bx_oberhausen/ “The bx_oberhausen is the closest emulation of a SEM I came across. The TMT technology really gives it character that so may plugin instruments miss.” The reviews all mention high CPU usage, though. I have Syntronik as well as Arturia Analog Lab V, both of which cover the SEM, but … GAS + $25 monthly voucher to make it $15 … how can I resist?

126 Participants to 3 free products Almost there. I’m still waiting for a deal at the $199.99 tier that’s better than using 60 Jam Points. On the other hand, some of my Jam Points are going to expire soon (from the group buy two years ago).
