  1. IK doesn't offer upgrades like other companies. If you've purchased a product that retails for $99 or more, then you can get the crossgrade pricing. With this current promotion, you can redeem up to 30% of the price with Jam Points, which would mean you pay $69. The best deal is when it's offered via the group buy, in which case you buy a qualifying item and get X items free (though to get AT5, you'd have to buy in at a higher price). Is there a specific reason you want AT5? With AT5 SE and specific collections, you can get the better amps than ones built into AT5 (like Fender 1 & 2 and Slash - Marshall).
  2. Clicking on the link didn't work in Brave Browser. I had to copy the URL and open it in a new tab. Then the download worked. Thanks. Seems it expects a serial number. I had a Beat issue (Beat #175 - 08/20) that was supposed to include the Geist Lite freebie but got the following from Serial Center : Nevertheless, it doesn't install on Big Sur on an M1.
  3. Link doesn't work for me.
  4. Thanks for the input. I wonder how these compare to iZotope Nectar (which I have), or other competing products.
  5. Correction, this is the source. “This is an affiliate link. We receive a commission which helps support the subreddit.”
  6. Anyone have any thoughts on these? Get both of these with the Soundwide $49.99 bundle and you can use the $25 monthly voucher.
  7. Looks like it’s actually part of this LoopCloud promotion: https://www.loopcloud.com/cloud/subscriptions/plans/
  8. Nice deal. Reviews: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/reviews/B083N8N7TB Seems constant hiss is a consistent complaint.
  9. I’m intrigued by Benson Chimera as some prefer it to NDSP Time King Imperial. At $143, a bit much for me. Looking at past posts, Black Friday discount was at 30% off. That would mean $125. Still a bit much for this hobbyist, though.

    PA Forever $29

Just tried it. Unfortunately, it doesn't work. I guess you got it before it got locked down. I got the following:
  11. Reminds me that I have Space Delay from the IK group buy. How’s it compare?
  12. Well, usually, it's buy 2 get one free, or spend $50 and get one free, so this can be a better deal than those offers (depending on the plugin you buy). Oh, and you can actually pick a freebie of a higher value but only from the listed plugins.
  13. The guitar pickup type (single coil vs humbucker) matters which is to be expected. I found that the input level to be the biggest factor for me. For the Nembrini amps, once I lowered the input by -15 dB (!!!), the presets actually sounded in the ballpark. The clean presets were clean and the dirty were dirty. The descriptions actually matched now (when they didn't before). This is with a Presonus Audiobox 96 with the input level turned to 0. On my MOTU M4, the level I need to use is different. I use the Nembrini noise gate and lower the output before feeding the sim (when testing a bunch of amp sims at the time, I put this on input channel). So the key is to figure out the input level each amp sim is expecting. TH-U has a handy input level meter that tells you to play your guitar as hard as you can so you can use that to calibrate but most of the other amp sims leave you guessing. Anyhow, try adjusting the input level so that the presets sound correct. It may surprise you.
  14. ReAmp is a suite like AmpliTube and Softube Amp Room. AmpliTube, Amp Room, and the PA amps try to emulate the controls of the original whereas ReAmp doesn’t (all the amps have the same bass, mid, treble, and presence controls whether the originals have it or not). I suspect that ReAmp is profiled rather than modeled (circuit simulation) since it covers so many amps. I think the AA standalone amps have the same controls as the amps they’re based on like the Blackstar/Blacksun amp sim. At least their standalone amps are mostly sims of less common amps. Note: I have Grind Machine II, ReAmp Studio, and Blacksun. I’m mainly interested in low to mid gain amps so haven’t paid attention to most of the standalone amps.
  15. Here’s a review: https://guitarandbassplugins.com/reviews/audio-assault-sigma/ “Audio Assault is stepping up their game once again! It’s solid, don’t let the price fool you, it may be affordable but it’s a great option for anyone looking for a great guitar tone with options for tone shaping. It stands up to more premium plugins, and is very flexible for use with external plugins. So don’t wait, go download the trial and give it a try, hear it for yourself!”
  16. So, has anyone purchased this yet? Just wondering what individual license codes you get.
  17. 2. “Your license for Auto-Tune® Unlimited, Auto-Tune Pro, Auto-Tune Access, Auto-Tune EFX+, Auto-Tune Artist, Auto-Key, AVOX 4, or any of the individual AVOX plugins (Articulator, Aspire, Choir, Duo, Harmony Engine, Mic Mod, Mutator, Punch, Sybil, Throat, Warm), can be activated on up to two computers at a time.”
  18. I found out from support that currently, the following are M1 native: Sigma RVXX Shibalba Duality Bass Studio iQ505
  19. I found GR6 to be much improved over GR5. If you’re after effects, GR6 Pro is quite loaded with them. https://gearspace.com/board/reviews/1338903-native-instruments-guitar-rig-pro-6-a.html It’s definitely usable especially if you use a clean amp for use as a pedal platform. You can always just use GR6 in a DAW for the effects before and/or after a better amp sim (or a synth). Nevertheless, I enjoy using it standalone to noodle around with (with a more straightforward MIDI implementation than AmpliTube). For $50, it would be pretty compelling, unless you’re saving up for the next Komplete upgrade.

    Sonible Updates

Thanks. This prompted me to actually register entropy:EQ that I discovered in my pluginboutique.com account.
  21. Looks like they're using a tiered pricing model: $14.99, $19.99, and $24.99. The Soundwide Intro Bundle ($49.99) + MC77 ($25.99) is $.02 short of $75 to use the $25 voucher. There's currently nothing available for $29.99. My wait resumes. I got the bx_opto from the PreSonus bundle.
  22. Testing it out now. There's a noticeable delay when used live. Unlike Auto-Tune, Duo doesn't have a Low Latency setting. Bummer.
  23. BTW, for those using Studio One, you can download a soundset for Xpand2 (as well as other AIR Music Tech instruments) from the cloud in PreSonus Exchange under Air Music Technology. It only works for the VST--it doesn't appear to work with the AU.
  24. Right now it works on Big Sur under Rosetta 2. Don’t know if it’ll get updated to be Apple Silicon native but the fact that it was recently updated hopefully means it hasn’t been abandoned.
