  1. No. I think you're right. https://forums.steinberg.net/t/cubase-13-any-word-on-new-update-cycle/834474/166
  2. My guess is that it was more of the former.
  3. Me too. Does your copy work? After installation and activation mine neither receives MIDI input nor produces sound when I click on the GUI keyboard. I'm waiting to hear back from the support request I placed.
  4. Cecilia: is an audio signal processing environment aimed at sound designers. mangles sound in ways unheard of. lets you create your own GUI using a simple syntax. comes with many original built-in modules and presets for sound effects and synthesis. https://www.audiopluginsforfree.com/cecilia-5-4-1/
  5. I always download before I post and did not have any problems.
  6. I suspect they soon will change the status of V14 plugins to "Legacy;" especially when V15 is released. They're obviously hoping that the pain of manually installing/reinstalling our Legacy plugins will force us to buy a subscription. But if we do that, we have to maintain the subscription forever otherwise everything updated will revert back to their previous Legacy versions. This is manipulative given that the ability to quickly and easily install some earlier plugin versions already exists. They deliberately took away this functionality out of pure greed.

  8. If it's true that updating from now on converts your perpetual license to a subscription, they need to give us a clear warning in Waves Central as opposed to burying this fact in legalease. I think I may just uninstall Waves Central to prevent any unfortunate accidents.
  9. Then again, given what Waves just did, there's incentive for them to hold-off the release of V15 until V14 WUP expires to induce us to subscribe to their new plan.
  10. I just noticed the V14 plugin updates after updating Waves Central. I usually just apply all updates without worrying but now wonder if this will convert my perpertual licences to subscriptions. I was going to just update StudioRack (which I got for free), but when I selected that one for update, all the others with available updates were selected as well.
  11. Element 2 is a very useful instrument. I also really like Codex and Flow Motion because they produce sounds that are quite distinct from many other synths.
  12. That's my plan. I have all the Waves' plugins I want at this point and will continue using them for as long as they work. But I will not buy any new ones if they're going to expire without a subscription renewal.

  14. Thank you! My problem was that I didn't copy the preset- and sample-files to my VST3 folder. It never occurred to me that I had to do this manually having run the installer.
  15. Has anyone been able to load the factory presets (on Windows)?
  16. If you install the trial version and later decide to buy it, can you activate the trial copy, or do you have to uninstall it and install the 'full' version?
  17. This is my first SSL plugin ... where is the installer? I clicked the link JRR sent, created an account, registered the plugin, activated it to my iLok, but there's no mention of the actual installer. ?
  18. I'm not sure if this will work in Cakewalk (I use Cubase), but what I do is to create my vocal MIDI file in Cubase and then simply record the notes into the SynthV plugin. For this to work you have to enable record within the SynthV plugin (not Cakewalk). Doing it this way obviates the need to export/import MIDI files.
