The Imperial is such a fine instrument! I knew someone on Long Island who owned one. He built his house around it. Glorious acoustics in the recital room! And the occasional jazz pianist in town on a tour stop would come out and put on a small show, just for the chance to play it! EDIT: The only Imperial 290 library I have is the old PMI Bösendorfer 290 MkII from SampleTekk. This VI sounds MUCH nicer!

Thanks for the heads-up. There's also an update to the Audio Sender. Of course, EZbass is the first VI listed by the Product Manager...and the Audio Sender is listed last.

Major Tom to Free Base. Major Tom to Free Base.

You've never heard of that white powdery substance being referred to as 'blow'?

And here I thought I was going to see something like this.

VI LABS Modern U | Upright Piano Library
TheMaartian replied to Simeon Amburgey's topic in Instruments & Effects
What a lovely piano VI! Next sale (well, first really), it's mine. I've got all 4 grands. Really looking forward to adding this. I want to see if I can recall the sound of my mother's 6'6" Kawai RX-5 from the late '90s, and compare the two. Great tone from this little guy! -
A couple of others. They are especially germane today.

VI Labs Modern U | Livestream Replay Coming
TheMaartian replied to Simeon Amburgey's topic in Instruments & Effects
I have the 3 True Keys pianos and the Ravenscroft. Love them! Modern U was released a little time back, but I didn't feel like paying full price, so haven't picked it up yet. Looking forward to your review!- 1 reply

Downloading. Will be nice to compare it with the free discoDSP version. I still can't imagine what would make Arturia's new OB-Xa VI worth $149. It can't sound THAT much better.

Watch the v5 intro and tutorial videos. Very helpful. The single biggest new feature for me (so far) is the sibilance management, making Melodyne the best de-esser going.
-
v5 will pull the chords from the Studio One chord track. No need to reenter them! Boo yaa!

$136 to upgrade Studio 4 to 5 at EveryPlugin ($149 at Celemony). Money gone.

Agreed. There may be some confusion here. Perhaps the OP's question might be restated as: 1) on each track (Front DAW's primary use case), or 2) on one or more busses, or 3) on the master (two) buss. For any of those 3, it would usually be first in the chain. Then again, I'm known to have my head in a dark place from time to time.

I've been interest-free for almost 3 years (when I quit dating ?).

When I can get and use OB-Xd by discoDSP (https://www.discodsp.com/obxd/) for free (or pay $29 (in their store) to support future development), why would I want this?

$162.68 with AZ tax at Sweetwater. YOLO! EDIT 1: Serial number received within 2 minutes! Installing now. EDIT 2: Here's a link to Sweetwater's Quick Start Guide: https://www.sweetwater.com/sweetcare/articles/ezbass-quickstart-guide/

I have the D2s. Love them! Paid quite a bit more. This is a great deal!

Here's an interesting video on the MODO DRUM v1.1.0 update.

Also $99 for me. There went the last $100 of my "it ain't stimulatin' me" check. The other $1100 went for a 65" 4K Sony TV!

Pffftt! Amateurs! They're nothing compared to multiple bagpipes at 30,000 feet. Been there. Done that. Don't want to ever go through it again. [LHR to AMS. Plane full of Scots on the way to a footie match vs. the Orange. Flight attendants disappeared.] EDIT: BTW, the Orange won 6-0. And many of the Scots wound up staying in by-the-hour hotel rooms. No reservations. All major hotels sold out. Heck of a fun party after the match, though! Not one of them expected their side to win. Good thing.

And with keys.

Rare Groove Piano was also updated.

It's actually a pretty good tasting fish. We used to haul a bunch out of Lake Mendota on the UW-Madison campus. We'd set up a table across our open apartment door, and get several electric frying pans going. We used the water-based Aunt Jemima's pancake mix (substituting beer for water) for a batter, and gave it away. We always had a line at the door after a big catch, so plenty of other fans of crappie!

I've got $100 left from my "stimulus" check (after picking up a 65" Sony 4K TV yesterday). Will save it for EZBass!
