  1. And then there was "Nothing's Gonna Stop us Now" to top it off.
  2. Thanks, I use VLC as a media player on one of my computers so I will add that to the short list.
  3. What are people using Android devices using to play music? I am probably going to have to replace my phone soon and don't really want to pay a premium for an iPhone if I can get similar functionality to iTunes which has served me well enough to date. I want to load music, playlists etc. onto my phone over a USB cable, easily find albums and tracks and play them on the phone with no internet connection. As far as I can see using Google Music Manager has a 50,000 limit, which will not be an issue, but it appears it loads from the PC to the cloud and then you download to the phone, which I imagine will take hours. Also it seems to insist on taking card numbers and seems quite insistent in trying to persuade you to sign up for their streaming services. I assume Google has reasonable facilities for creating playlists, organizing tracks and understands the concept of an album. Apple Music for Android also seems to be intent on you streaming as far as I can see. I may be wrong but from what I have read USB connection to iTunes is only available on iPhones. Does this mean transfer via the Cloud? There seem to be several music player apps, Poweramp https://powerampapp.com/ looks reasonable and has the big advantage of being able to play many formats including FLAC. I am not clear how the transfer is managed and I assume synchronization with the library on the PC is manual?? Any comments welcome.
  4. If you have one of the paid options there are some options to organize things but it not perfect.
  5. Yikes! that link takes me straight to Pay Pal!!! Comments in the Youtube video say "Release date: 15th August 2019. MSRP: $129.95" I don't see any mention of the pre-order on the website http://rigid-audio.com/index.html There are a couple of other titles on sale for less than $5.
  6. working for me on my Windows phone.
  7. Well I found I had a 20% discount coupon in my account. This is a nice synth for the money, probably not essential if you have some other 80's polysynth emulations but nice to have. They have a larger version, the SynX 2 which goes for 169 Euros. I am not sure which of the SIEL synth it emulates, I think it my be hybrid of a few models. I used to have a DK600 and this is more capable that that beast! P.S. Disappointingly unlike XILS 4 its not NKS compatible, but on the plus side its a simple serial number activation.
  8. ohh! I used to have one of these way back when so I will be spending $29 29 Euros on virtual version.
  9. Thanks, I will try the battery replacement first and if it still does not work I will decide what to do. I am not sure it worth spending a lot of money on when I have so many soft synth options that are a lot more versatile. But it would be nice to have a hardware synth working again. I bought mine second hand back in the 90's
  10. I recovered my 1983 vintage Korg Poly-800 from storage to find it had lost its memory. I suspect its just the backup battery for the RAM and I found this video on replacing it. It looks neigh on impossible without a battery mount, which only cost a couple of pounds plus P&P so i have ordered on and I am going to give it a go. Wish me luck! It was a bit of a pig to program be honest but it sounded pretty good for what it was. The architecture is limiting as all voiced share the same filter, this demands a different playing technique. I would be nice to have it working again but its hardly a classic (hence no VSTi versions)
  11. Bet it wont work on the 5 ->6 upgrade. I would like to upgrade but its well overpriced IMHO
  12. Is anyone else finding the keyswitches a bit erratic. I am trying to program slides on some notes. I can sometimes get it to work, but other times when I playback exactly the same MIDI the slides do not trigger. I think a long hard read of the instructions may be needed to get my head around how keyswitches work and how they are affected by velocity but I cant see why playing the same data gets differing results.
  13. Downloading now. I added Angelic Chimes to my original selection.
  14. 6 at 17:30 BST, not long now!
  15. I just received the upgrade email today so it seems they may be sending them out in batches. Given how much I like Micro I jumped on the offer. I am downloading now.
  16. The price drops to $80 when I log in, probably because I have a number of other products. I am tempted, I have Orange Tree's Jaco which is very nice but a little dated now in terms of features, I have been hoping Greg gives it the full "Evolution" treatment.
  17. That Simple Steel freebee is rather nice!
  18. Not bad for a freebee, the full version is probably very good but I doubt I will but as I have more Toontrack and BFD kits than you can shake a stick at and find Kontakt a less than ideal interface for drum kits. That said NKS compatibility and the ability to see the drum type regions lit up on a NI keyboard is very useful.

    Sektor

Even cheaper than when I bought it last month from Audio Plugin Deals. It's a very nice synth for the money.
  20. Watching that group buy counter is a bit like following the cricket score on the internet - 17 short of the 45% level at the moment!
  21. Probably the best Mellotron emulation out there. I do like the Hollowsun Newtron Bomb 2 which I think is now only available as part of their "prog pack" for its raw, un-enhanced sound but it has nowhere near the amount of tape banks on M-Tron pro. Then of course there are the expansions. (money pit warning!)
