Hi Jack Good track and definitely echo the comment re David Byrne / Talking Heads Cool stuff Nigel

Wookie - thanks for asking - well still stuck in Cape Town but winter is on us - and a very cold and wet winter it seems like it will be this year. But I am planning an escape soon back to my real home.....which was sunny and in the high 30 degrees yesterday!!!!! Of course the big issue are the idiot Politicians - how we are going to negotiate three Countries, three sets of quarantine / testing / Vaccination protocols etc, not sure yet - and of course that's if there are no more disruptions to the various flights we have to catch - the thought of just buying a yacht and sailing back appeal more every day? Mind you would have to sell the wife to pay for the yacht but I'm sure she wouldn't mind too much!!!! Keep well Nigel

Nicely recorded and very well sung I really like the track when it starts to get going - for me that could happen a lot earlier Cool Nigel -
Great vocals as always and I think Gravitas is a cool description!! I have to agree about the drums Apart from that good track Nigel

Hi Makke Glad you enjoyed it - thanks for the great comments - appreciated Nigel

Hi Jack Thanks for that much appreciated. Only treatments as such on the vocals are normally compressor, eq reverb and for some tracks delay The reverbs I use are Aether and Valhalla - i have lots of delays ( a secret vice of mine!!) Nigel

Thanks Kurt, appreciate the kind comments Nigel Hi Lynn Thanks so much - always appreciate you taking the time to have a listen and make such great comments Nigel

Like the synths you've got going in this - nice guitar playing as well. Like that breakdown at around 2.50. Mix sounds good to me Cool Nigel

This sounds very nicely composed and put together to me - as you say a little smashed perhaps? But otherwise, i really like this - obviously those Firework people have no taste? Nigel

I have been trying out various "smart" Eq's of late. I have tried Smooth Operator, Gulfoss and Sonible Smart EQ3. I have to be honest in that I couldn't seem to get on with any of them - of the 3, definitely Smooth Operator was the worse in my very humble opinion. The EQ I did like was the free sonible one (entropy) I saw when downloading the Smart EQ - that's gone into my daily arsenal!! I am sure this is down to me not really understanding what these are trying to do (and probably being too impatient to persevere with them) and therefore I end up preferring the "sound" i get manually. Perhaps if I didn't / couldn't get that sound I wanted, I would find these very useful. Nigel

Which of these mastered version sounds better to you?
Bajan Blue replied to Marcello's topic in Songs
Nigel As Wookie said - I did listen to them but they both sounded much the same I thought - very difficult to hear when an MP3 has been maxed to the loudest setting Nigel -
keith I like this and I like your vocals - i think it sounds cool just as it is Nigel
