  1. Make sure you can see all of the controls by selecting "All". Then you can select/change ins and outs and other parameters. This image is of an audio track. A MIDI track works the same way although some of the options are different.
  2. Well, the effects will not be recorded even if you use them while recording. They are applied to the output. And you would need a fast computer in order to hear the effect without latency. There are ways, of course. Recording the output to another track while recording, if forget what they call it, a semi-new feature.
  3. I'm not Glenn, but I think he means these options.
  4. From what I've read here, if you have no MIDI output device selected in Preferences, it will automatically insert TTS-1.
  5. If the Spitfire Audio BBC Orchestra soft synth is able to send MIDI out, enable that and send it to the SI Keyboard to see the notes play. Don't select an output for SI Keyboard so you don't hear it playing over the BBCSO.
  6. It's always time for another music toon. And becan. It's always time for becan.
  7. To answer this question, you can't use audio effects on a MIDI track. You can't use MIDI effects on an audio track. Your image above shows a Simple Instrument Track, on which you can use audio effects since it is a combination of MIDI and audio tracks. If it was a basic MIDI track, you couldn't. You're good to go.
  8. Using the included Studio Instruments Piano software synthesizer will do what you want.
  9. Try deselecting the MS driver then selecting the Presonus ASIO driver. You can only use 1 ASIO driver at a time.
  10. I wonder what would happen if you Open those MIDI tracks instead of Importing them?
  11. Have you tried Project>Insert Time/Measures? I don't do a lot of controlling, but a song I have with some modulation in it, the mods were moved along with all the other events in the track.
  12. Welcome to the forum. Do you read music? You can use the Staff View.
  13. In the past, there was a fly-out menu when you hovered over a selection, such as Soft Synth. Now you have to left-click on it.
  14. Have you tried the metronome count-in?
  15. I have one word to say to you: plastics.
  16. There is also the metronome count-in. It can be set to any number of measures or beats to play before the tape rolls. I never used it much because I could never hear it.
  17. Welcome to the forum. Ensure your sound card or audio interface doesn't have 'WhatUHear' or 'Stereo Mix' as an input. Those will always play the output to the input resulting in all the audio you hear (?) being recorded. What is your sound card or audio interface?
  18. I usually start playback a few measures before the punch-in.
  19. What is this? The Song Association fred?
  20. No one told me there would be math. ?
  21. Where's jonbuoy when you need him?
  22. You can Hide all the busses in track view except the Master bus, but you can't really tell if the behavior persists because the busses are hidden.
  23. Or, you can only change it from the ASIO Panel.
