Instead of watching TV, I learned to play wind synthesizer - made backing tracks for hundreds of songs - learned lead guitar - learned enough HTML to make a few web pages - learned to make style and song collections for Band-in-a-Box and turned it into a side hustle - and had a lot of good, quality, fun time with the woman in my life. I gigged on cruise ships from 1986-1989. They didn't have TV back then, so I got in the habit of doing other things. when I got off the ship, I tried watching again, but found myself thinking, "I'd be having more fun if I was doing this __________." So I eventually gave in and disconnected.

I'm reading a book about teleportation. It's bound to take me places.

Watched it at first, but eventually got tired of it. I quit watching all TV in the early 1990s. I'm weird, I guess. I'd rather do things that watch actors pretend to do things.
